Merrill has missed the last 10 games with an upper-body injury but will replace Jordie Benn in the lineup vs. the Canucks. Merrill has tallied four goals with 14 assists (18 points) in 63 games this season.


Foligno was placed on the COVID-19 protocol list and likely will not travel to Montreal for Tuesday's game. If Foligno misses time, the Wild will be without two-thirds of their talented checking line.


Grosenick has gone 16-5-4 with a 2.02 GAA and .931 SV% in 28 games with Providence this season. Grosenick will serve as Jeremy Swayman's backup on Saturday with Linus Ullmark out with an upper-body injury.





Merrill suffered an upper-body injury vs. the Penguins on Thursday and did not travel to Carolina for Saturday's game. Alex Goligoski will replace him in the lineup.

Boldy suffered an upper-body injury vs. the Penguins on Thursday and will not play on Saturday. He is on the road trip and has not officially been ruled out for Sunday's game, but it seems unlikely that he will play. Nick Bjugstad will likely draw into the lineup in Carolina.



Merrill will be replaced by Dmitry Kulikov on the Wild blueline on Saturday, as the Wild will likely continue to shuffle defensemen around after adding Jacob Middleton at the trade deadline.
