The Blackhawks have acquired Marc-Andre Fleury from the Golden Knights for Mikael Hakkarainen.

The Golden Knights needed to clear some salary space ahead of Wednesday's free agency, so they gave up the reigning Vezina Trophy Winner for nothing but $7.0M in cap space. The last goalie to be traded the year after winning the Vezina Trophy was Dominik Hasek, who was traded to Detroit 20 years ago. Fleury will reportedly discuss his future with his family and could retire, one season after going 26-10-0 with a 1.98 GAA, .928 SV% and six shutouts.

The Wild have signed Joseph Cramarossa to a two-year, two-way contract extension.

Cramarossa split his 2021 season between the NHL and AHL. He finished with one assist in four games with the Wild and two goals and one assist in eight games with Iowa (AHL). The 28-year-old has bounced around the league quite a bit since turning pro in 2013 but will stick with the Wild for another two seasons.
