The Golden Knights signed Marc-Andre Fleury to a three-year extension worth $21M ($7.0M AAV).
The Coyotes have acquired Vinnie Hinostroza, Marian Hossa, Jordan Oesterle and a 2019 3rd Round Pick from the Blackhawks for Marcus Kruger, Andrew Campbell, MacKenzie Entwistle, Jordan Maletta and a 2019 5th Round Pick.
The Capitals have signed Travis Boyd to a two-year contract worth $1.6M ($800K AAV).
The Blackhawks have signed Vinnie Hinostroza to a two-year contract extension last Friday.
Hinostroza, 24, is a Chicago native who was drafted in the sixth round in 2012 and set career-highs in games (50), goals (7), assists (18) and points (25) with the Blackhawks last season. He also spent some time in Rockford (AHL) where he was near a point-per-game with 22 points (9G / 13A) in 23 games. Hinostroza projects to be a middle-6 forward to start the 2019 season.

Fleury wasn’t at his best in Game 1, but he has been brilliant all postseason and is now 3-0 against the Capitals this season. Fleury has stopped 102 of 108 shots (.944 SV%) in three Game 2’s in the playoffs.

Fleury has dazzled throughout the postseason, going 12-3 with a 1.68 GAA, .947 SV% and four shutouts in 15 games. The 33-year-old netminder was 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .939 SV% in two starts against the Capitals during the regular season. Fleury has posted a .918 SV% in 13 career Finals appearances.

Fleury, who has well documented postseason struggles, might be more comfortable as a playoff underdog rather than Stanley Cup favourite. Fleury was 1-0-1 with a 2.37 GAA and .931 SV% in two games against the Kings this season.
