With Kaiden Guhle back in the lineup on Friday, Roy will sit as a healthy scratch Friday in Carolina. Roy has scored two goals while skating in eight straight games with the Habs.

Guhle will return to the Canadiens lineup after missing the last 21 games. Guhle re-enters the lineup with four goals, 10 assists and a plus-2 rating in 44 games this season.

On the tail end of a back-to-back, a night after a disappointing 6-4 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Canadiens will turn to Montembeault between the pipes on Friday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 28-year-old Montembeault struggled in his previous outing, allowing five goals on 32 shots (.844 SV%) in a 6-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues. He has a 2.93 GAA and .898 SV% in 53 games this season (25-22-6). The Canadiens enter the action on Friday as +276 road underdogs against a Hurricanes club coming off a 3-1 loss to the Nashville Predators.

On the front end of a back-to-back, the Canadiens will turn to Dobes between the pipes on Thursday against the Philadelphia Flyers. The 23-year-old Czech goalie's last start was on March 12th, when he allowed five goals on 35 shots (.857 SV%) in a 5-4 overtime loss to the Seattle Kraken. He has a 2.75 GAA and .905 SV% in 13 games this season (6-3-2). The Canadiens enter Thursday's contest as -119 road favorites against a Flyers club amid a six-game losing skid (0-5-1).

The Canadiens have points in six straight (3-0-3), continuing their push for a Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference, and will turn to Montembeault between the pipes on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues. The 28-year-old Montembeault has a 2.88 GAA and .900 SV% in 52 games this season (25-21-6). That said, he has allowed four goals in two straight games (0-0-2).

Guhle has not played since January 28th but is nearing a return and could draw back into Montreal's lineup on their upcoming road trip. The 23-year-old Guhle was averaging 21:14 time-on-ice and scored 14 points (4G / 10A) in 44 games before his injury.


The Canadiens are coming off an impressive 6-3 win over the Ottawa Senators and will roll with Montembeault between the pipes as they continue their push for a wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. The 28-year-old Montembeault has been excellent lately, posting a 2.09 GAA and .922 SV% in his last eight games (7-0-1). He has a 2.84 GAA and .901 SV% in 50 games this season (25-21-4). The Canadiens enter Thursday's contest as +108 road underdogs against a New York Islanders team riding a two-game winning streak.

Condotta is an undrafted 27-year-old forward with 11 games of NHL experience, including scoring one goal in seven contests with the Canadiens this season. He has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL, tallying 23 points (3G / 20A) in 50 games with the Laval Rocket.

The Canadiens are coming off an impressive 3-1 win over the Florida Panthers, where Montembeault saved 21 of 22 shots (.955 SV%). Montembeault will return to the crease on Tuesday against the Ottawa Senators, looking to build on his 2.83 GAA and .901 SV% through 49 games this season (24-21-4).



Armia was a late scratch before Wednesday's game due to an upper-body injury, but will likely return to the lineup on Saturday against the Florida Panthers. The 31-year-old Armia is averaging 14:42 time-on-ice and has 25 points (11G / 14A) in 64 games this season.

Armia was a surprise scratch on Wednesday, with the Canadiens not announcing his absence prior to warmups. Patrik Laine (illness) will return to the lineup in his place.

Laine will return to the Habs lineup on Wednesday after missing the last two games with an illness. He will slot in for Joel Armia, who is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Laine missed a second consecutive game due to an illness on Tuesday but could return to the lineup on Wednesday against the Seattle Kraken. The 26-year-old Laine is averaging 14:26 time-on-ice and has 24 points (14G / 10A) in 34 games this season.
