MacDermid had to leave the Avalanche's game Saturday vs. Carolina after just two shifts and 1:13 TOI due to a lower-body injury and will now miss anywhere from 4-6 weeks it was announced Monday. The bruising defenseman had one assist and 14 PIMs through eight games so far this season prior to going down with the injury.

The Flames' starter will be looking to improve off a lacklustre start to the season as he has a .895 SV% and 2.88 GAA to go along with his 5-3-2 record. He faces off against one of the hottest teams in the NHL in the Los Angeles kings who have won four straight and seven of their last 10 games.



Daws has gone 1-3-0 with a. 2.41 GAA and .908 SV%. It's unclear how long he'll be with the Devils, but he's expected to start as Akira Schmid's backup on Saturday.

Allen stopped 41 of 43 shots in the Canadiens shootout win in Detroit on Tuesday. The win snapped a brief two-game losing skid for Allen, who is now 4-5-0 with a 3.11 GAA and .907 SV% in nine starts this season. Allen has struggled in Montreal so far this season, going 2-3-0 with a 3.64 GAA and .888 SV% in five games.

Glass was a healthy scratch for the Predators' last four games. In eight games so far in 2022-23, he has a goal and an assist while picking up a -1 plus/minus rating.

Kallgren allowed four goals on 20 shots (.800 SV%) as he took the overtime loss his last time out vs. Vegas. He holds a 1-1-3 record through six games, posting a .890 SV% and 2.98 GAA. He faces off against the Pittsburgh Penguins who won their last game 4-1 over Washington, snapping a seven-game losing streak.


Dadonov has not played since October 27th after hitting the injured reserve due to illness. He is expected to rejoin the Canadiens' lineup Tuesday and will be hoping to collect his first point since joining Montreal in the offseason. The 33-year-old has struggled with only 10 SOG through eight games while averaging just 13:29 ATOI.

Palat undergoing groin surgery is a tough loss for the Devils after it was announced he would be out 8-10 weeks due to recovery. Since being acquired in the offseason by the Devils, the 31-year-old had three goals off eight shots in six games played while averaging 18:43 ATOI.

Kallgren stopped 29 of 30 shots (.967 SV%) in his best start of the season Sunday, a 3-1 win over Carolina. Kallgren is now the Maple Leafs starter after it was announce Ilya Samsonov will be out week-to-week (lower body) Tuesday. Through five games played, he is 1-1-2 with a 2.76 GAA and .904 SV%. He draws the tough task of the Vegas Golden Knights who are currently on a seven game winning streak and leading the Pacific Division.

Allen struggled his last time out stopping 36 of 42 shots (.857 SV%) in a 6-4 loss to Vegas. The 32-year-old started the season well but has struggled as of late to bring his season numbers to 3-5-0 with a 3.28 GAA and .900 SV%. He takes on a surging Detroit Red Wings team that has won three of their last four games while only allowing four goals during that spread.
