Allen stopped 26 of 30 shots (.867 SV%) in a winning effort his last time out as the Canadiens moved above .500 with a 7-4 win over St.Louis. He and his 2-2-0 record will host Minnesota Tuesday, as the netminder hopes to build off his early .913 SV% and 2.77 GAA. Minnesota has struggled this season (1-3-1) and is also coming off a loss as they dropped their last outing 4-3 in overtime to the Boston Bruins. They currently rank last in the NHL in GA/GP with 5.4 GAA per game.

Allen was incredible in his last start six days ago stopping 37 of 38 shots in a 3-0 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. With the Canadiens having a back-to-back he took the bench for their last game but still carries an impressive .943 SV% and 2.03 GAA as he leads Montreal Thursday. The Canadiens will run into the Coyotes who are coming off their first victory of the season with a 3-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs Monday.

Brown misses his first game of the 2022-23 season after it was announced he was placed on the IR with a lower-body injury Wednesday. The 28-year-old has struggled in his first four games as a Capital, collecting just two shots to go along with his zero points and -3 rating to start the season.

Allen and his wife are expecting a baby, so he will sit out of Monday's game vs. the Penguins. With Allen unavailable, Cayden Primeau was recalled from Laval (AHL) to serve as Sam Montembeault's backup.

Kallgren will likely serve as the Leafs backup tonight after Matt Murray left the morning skate with an injury.

Glass missed Thursday's game with an illness and will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game in Dallas. Cole Smith will remain in the Predators' lineup if Glass is unable to play.

Hischier missed the season opener in Philadelphia but will play Saturday vs. the Red Wings. Prior to Thursday's game, Hischier centred the top line with Yegor Sharangovich and Jesper Bratt, so expect him to skate there tonight.

Meier was listed as questionable after getting nicked up in Wednesday's practice, but he was on the ice for Friday's morning skate and is good to go vs. the Hurricanes. Meier has one assist and 11 shots on goal in two games this season.
