Haula has missed the last 15 games with a knee injury but is expected to centre the third line on Saturday. Haula, who has eight goals and three assists (11 points) in 16 games, will skate with Ryan Dzingel and Martin Necas at even strength and should see PP2 time as well.

Dowling has been a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Alexander Radulov, who is out with a lower-body injury. Dowling will start on the top-line with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn and comes in with five points (3G / 2A) in 22 games this season.
Markstrom allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Canucks' loss to the Canadiens on Tuesday. Markstrom posted an impressive 43-save shutout last Thursday but has since lost three in a row while allowing a combined 10 goals on 94 shots (.894 SV%). Bernier stopped 42 of 43 shots in the Red Wings' win in Montreal on Saturday. Bernier was absolutely brilliant and earned back-to-back wins for the first time since November 10th/12th. As scary as it might be to start the Red Wings goalie right now, the matchup looks OK. Columbus has lost seven of their last eight road games (1-4-3) while scoring just 2.00 goals per game and they played last night, so the struggling Elvis Merzlikins will be between the pipes for them.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Canucks' loss to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. Markstrom has lost two straight to start December and has just two wins in eight home games while posting a 2.84 GAA and .903 SV%. Bernier allowed four goals on 23 shots in the Red Wings' loss to the Penguins last Saturday. Bernier has lost each of his last seven starts and has allowed at least three goals in each game--he's 0-5-1 with a 3.78 GAA and .885 SV% in that span. The Red Wings could be without Dylan Larkin, Anthony Mantha and Andreas Athanasiou up front tonight, so it's hard to envision Bernier giving up less than three goals and getting enough goal support to win.
