Boqvist (upper-body) will be back in the Blue Jackets lineup on Friday.

Boqvist missed the Blue Jackets' previous two games due to an upper-body injury and will return to Columbus' lineup Friday vs. Toronto. The 22-year-old who scored double-digit goals last season (11 G) has 10 assists, 25 SOG, and a -4 plus/minus through 19 games this season prior to the injury.

Sorokin will start Thursday vs. the Canucks.

Sorokin was perfect, stopping all 32 of 32 shots for his second straight shutout as he defeated the high-scoring Seattle Kraken in his last start. The 27-year-old may have a near .500 record with his 17-16-4 record, but has a top-five SV% with his .926 SV% and impressive 2.31 GAA. He takes on the Vancouver Canucks, who have lost three of their last four under new coach Rick Tocchet after a 4-3 loss to the New York Rangers last game.

Romanov (personal) is expected to be back in the Islanders lineup on Thursday.

Romanov missed the Islanders' previous game due to personal reasons but will draw back into the lineup Thursday as they take on Vancouver. The 23-year-old hard hitting defensemen has a goal, 14 assists, 73 SOG, 31 PIMs and a +5 plus/minus through 53 games so far this season.

Holmstrom had three goals, two assists, and four PIMs in 16 games with Bridgeport (AHL) but has been recalled to the Islanders Monday. The 21-year-old struggled in his previous stint with the big club, picking up only two goals, an assist, and 15 SOG through 24 games played earlier this season.

The Islanders have recalled Samuel Bolduc from Bridgeport (AHL).

Bolduc would have taken part in Monday's AHL All-Star Classic but instead will head back up to the NHL where he previously had a strong initial four-game showing. The 22-year-old heads up from Bridgeport (AHL), where he had eight goals, 26 points, 10 PIMs and a -13 plus/minus through 41 games prior to his promotion.

Samuel Bolduc
Bo Horvat has signed an eight-year, $68 Million ($8.5 Million AAV) extension with the New York Islanders.

Horvat was dealt to the Islanders last week for Anthony Beauvillier, Aatu Raty and a top-12 protected 2023 first-round pick and has signed an eight-year, $68 Million ($8.5 Million AAV) with the Islanders Sunday. The 27-year-old is on pace for the best season of his career with his 31 goals, 23 assists, 143 SOG and 12 PIMs through 49 games with Vancouver prior to his trade. He has never surpassed 61 points in any of his previous eight NHL seasons.
