Lindgren left the Rangers' game on Sunday after a horrific leg injury and is luckily only considered week-to-week and is expected to return by season's end. The 26-year-old defensemen likely closes out his regular season with two goals, 13 points, 60 SOG, 30 PIMs and a +19 plus/minus through 66 games played before his injury.
With the news that Ryan Lindgren (lower body) will be out week-to-week, Brandon Scanlin has been recalled from Hartford (AHL) for the first time this season. The 24-year-old undrafted defensemen had been enjoying a strong season in Hartford, with eight goals, 16 points, 39 PIMs and a +3 plus/minus through 57 games played.
Edstrom played 11 games with the Rangers earlier this season, scoring two goals, but has spent most of the 2023-24 campaign with the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL). The towering 6'8 Edstrom has 12 points (8G / 4A) in 28 games with Hartford this season.
