The veteran Quick has only played twice in the last 10 games but has recorded victories in each, most recently saving 34 of 38 shots (.895 SV%) in a 7-4 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on March 16th. Ruhwedel was acquired before the trade deadline from the Pittsburgh Penguins for a 2027 fourth-round pick. The 33-year-old Ruhwedel is averaging only 12:33 time-on-ice this season, his lowest total in 10 seasons, and has four points (1G / 3A), 73 hits, and 36 blocks in 47 games.

Lindgren (lower body) is considered week-to-week but is expected to return this season.

Lindgren left the Rangers' game on Sunday after a horrific leg injury and is luckily only considered week-to-week and is expected to return by season's end. The 26-year-old defensemen likely closes out his regular season with two goals, 13 points, 60 SOG, 30 PIMs and a +19 plus/minus through 66 games played before his injury.

With the news that Ryan Lindgren (lower body) will be out week-to-week, Brandon Scanlin has been recalled from Hartford (AHL) for the first time this season. The 24-year-old undrafted defensemen had been enjoying a strong season in Hartford, with eight goals, 16 points, 39 PIMs and a +3 plus/minus through 57 games played.

The New York Rangers have signed Hugo Ollas to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Ollas was a seventh-round pick of the Rangers in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and has earned himself a two-year, entry-level contract. The 21-year-old netminder has spent the last three seasons playing collegiate hockey with Merrimack College.

The red-hot Rangers, riding a three-game winning streak, will turn to Shesterkin for the second straight game on Thursday.
