Anton Forsberg was tending the twine for the Senators when they snapped their five-game losing skid on Monday, but the team will revert to Ullmark on Wednesday night against the San Jose Sharks. Ullmark's first season in Ottawa has been disappointing, posting an ugly 3.10 GAA and .881 SV% in 13 appearances (4-7-1). The 31-year-old Ullmark has lost four straight (0-3-1), allowing 17 combined goals, posting a .835 SV%. That said, the Senators enter Wednesday's contest as sizeable -204 road favorites against a Sharks club that will be without Mikael Granlund for a second straight game.

With Artem Zub (fractured foot) being placed on LTIR, Ottawa has recalled Sebrango from the Belleville Senators (AHL). The 22-year-old Sebrango was the 63rd overall pick of the Detroit Red Wings in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. He has six points (2G / 4A) in 14 games with Belleville this season and has yet to make his NHL debut.

Jacob Bernard-Docker will draw back into the Senators lineup on Thursday, resulting in Hamonic being a healthy scratch. The 34-year-old Hamonic is averaging 16:27 time-on-ice and has one point (0G / 1A), 35 blocks, and 25 hits in 18 games this season.

The Senators will turn to Ullmark between the pipes on Thursday, his fifth start in the last six games. The 31-year-old Ullmark has been inconsistent this season, posting a 2.99 GAA and .884 SV% in 11 appearances (4-5-1). He has lost three of his previous five, allowing five goals in each of the losses.
