Philadelphia has signed Adam Ginning to a two-year, two-way contract extension.

Ginning played 67 combined games between Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley (AHL) in 2023-24 and has signed a two-year, two-way contract to remain with the Flyers. The 24-year-old defenseman made his NHL debut in 2022-23 and has one goal in 10 NHL games played. He is likely to take on a bigger role with the Flyers in 2024-25.

Philadelphia has signed Rodrigo Abols to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000.

Abols spent the 2023-24 season with Rogle BK (SHL) and signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 with Philadelphia on Saturday. The 28-year-old Centre was drafted in the seventh round of the 2016 draft (184th overall) many moons ago and last played in North America with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (ECHL) in 2019-20.

Philadelphia has agreed to a two-year, contract extension worth $6.5 million dollars ($3,250,000 AAV).

Fedotov was the 188th overall pick of the Flyers in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. The 27-year-old netminder made his NHL debut late in the 2023-24 season, posting a 4.95 GAA and .811 SV% across three appearances (0-1-1).

Philadelphia has signed Massimo RIzzo to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Rizzo was drafted 216th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes and has earned himself an entry-level contract after three seasons of collegiate hockey. The 22-year-old forward amassed 44 points (10G / 34A) in 30 games with the University of Denver this season.

Ersson will start Tuesday vs. the Capitals.

The Flyers will turn to Ersson between the pipes in their final game of the season. Ersson has played superbly in his last two games, allowing only one total goal and recording a 20-save shutout in his last outing, a 1-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils. The Flyers need to win against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday and need help around the league to make the playoffs, but they enter action as -143 home favourites.

Zamula will draw back into the Flyers' lineup on Thursday vs. New York.

Zamula has been a healthy scratch for the Flyers' previous three games but will draw back in on Thursday vs. the Rangers as he takes the spot of Marc Staal. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a solid breakout season in 2023-24, with five goals, 20 points, 58 SOG, 32 PIMs and his +1 plus/minus through 63 games played.

The Flyers are amid a disastrous eight-game losing skid and will turn to Ersson in the crease for a third-straight game. Ersson has allowed five or more goals in four of his last six games (0-6-0), including allowing five on 17 shots (.706 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 9-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. The Flyers are desperate for points but enter action on Thursday as +180 road underdogs against the New York Rangers.

Johnson was a healthy scratch for the Flyers' previous game but will draw back into the lineup on Tuesday as he takes the place of Adam Ginning. The 36-year-old veteran defenseman has somehow managed to not pick up an assist in 50 games this year, but has three goals, 40 SOG, 24 PIMs and a -5 plus/minus.

Couturier (upper body) will return to Philadelphia's lineup on Tuesday vs. Montreal.

Couturier has missed the Flyers' previous two games with an upper-body injury but will return on Tuesday in Montreal. The 31-year-old reached 70 games played for the first time since 2018-19 last game and has had a decent season with 36 points (11G/25A) after missing all of 2022-23 due to injury.

The Flyers have lost seven straight and will turn to Ersson between the pipes as they attempt to stay in playoff contention. Ersson has allowed five or more goals in three of his last five (0-5-0), including allowing six goals on 33 shots (.818 SV%) in a disappointing 6-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets in his last outing. The Flyers enter action as -143 road favourites against the Montreal Canadiens.

Philadelphia has agreed to a one-year, $950,000 entry-level contract with Swedish left-winger Oscar Eklind on Monday that starts in the 2024-25 season. The 25-year-old just finished his fifth professional season in the SHL and had 28 points (17G/11A) in 48 games with Lulea HF.

Couturier (upper body) returned to practice on Monday after missing the last two games.

Couturier played only 3:21 before exiting last Monday's 4-3 loss to the New York Islanders with a shoulder injury. The 31-year-old Couturier has only one point in his last 15 games and is averaging only 10:11 time-on-ice in six games since being a healthy scratch. The Flyers return to the ice on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens.
