Crosby skated between usual linemates Chris Kunitz and Pascal Dupuis and took some contact. All reports seem to be positive even though he has already been ruled out for the next two games.

Malkin will play against the Isles for the second time in three days. In his first game back after missing 12 days, Malkin failed to register a point.

Previous reports had Malkin not ruled out tonight's game. By all accounts, he has looked better in practice and probably draws back in shortly. After a setback on his surgically repaired knee, the Pens have no need to rush him back.

Penguins center Evgeni Malkin returned to practice Friday at Consol Energy Center and has not been ruled out of a home game tonight against New Jersey.
