Crosby did not suffer any setback when he returned to Pittsburgh. Expect a further update on him later today.
There remains no timetable for his return. We await further word from the team on his status.
As expected, this injury has kept Carter sidelined indefinitely. He did manage three assists through his first five games but has since missed eight consecutive games.
Crosby skated between usual linemates Chris Kunitz and Pascal Dupuis and took some contact. All reports seem to be positive even though he has already been ruled out for the next two games.
If you own Carter, keep him on your bench until further notice.
November 11th against the Dallas Stars looks like the closest return date for the superstar center.

Malkin will play against the Isles for the second time in three days. In his first game back after missing 12 days, Malkin failed to register a point.

Previous reports had Malkin not ruled out tonight's game. By all accounts, he has looked better in practice and probably draws back in shortly. After a setback on his surgically repaired knee, the Pens have no need to rush him back.
Crosby is craving contact but continues to be babied during practice. Until he fully gets hit, don't expect him in the lineup.
