A fourth-round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Bemstrom scored 31 goals and 38 assists in 204 games across parts of five seasons in Columbus, playing predominantly in the team's bottom-six. It's unclear where the Penguins plan to deploy the 24-year-old Swede in their lineup.

Acciari (concussion) will play against the Canadiens on Thursday.

Acciari exited the Penguins' 3-0 win over the Winnipeg Jets on February 6th after he suffered a concussion from a Brendan Dillon hit and has not played since. Acciari had played 11 of the past 12 games for the Penguins before his injury but failed to register a point in that time while averaging 12:58 time-on-ice.

Grzelcyk (lower body) will be a game-time decision on Thursday in Calgary.

Grzelcyk was limited to only 35 seconds on the ice, exiting the game with a lower-body injury after receiving a slash to his leg from Ryan McLeod of the Edmonton Oilers in his first shift. The 30-year-old defenseman has zero points in his last 12 games and will be a game-time decision on Thursday against the Calgary Flames.

Matt Grzelcyk
Jarry will start on Thursday vs. Montreal.

Jarry did not participate in the morning skate but will start between the pipes for the Penguins on Thursday evening. Despite an unspectacular 2-3-0 record, Jarry has allowed two or fewer goals in four of five posting a solid .920 SV%. The Penguins have lost five of their last six (1-4-1) but are -231 home favourites on Thursday against the low-scoring Montreal Canadiens (2.78 GF / GP).

Despite having an excellent outing on Sunday, saving 31 of 33 shots (.939 SV%), Jarry allowed two late goals en route to a 2-1 regulation loss to the Los Angeles Kings and will serve as the backup to Nedeljkovic on Tuesday night. Nedeljkovic has played well lately, including a 27-save performance (.964 SV%) in his last outing, a 4-1 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on February 15th, the Penguins' only win in the last 12 days (1-4-0). That said, the Penguins are -130 home favourites against the New York Islanders on Tuesday night.

Alex Nedeljkovic
Beauvillier (broken wrist) was on the ice for the first time in full contact practice on Friday and is nearing a return.

Beauvillier has been out of the lineup since the beginning of January but appears to be nearing a return to the Blackhawks' lineup with the possibility of returning on Monday. Beauvillier had scored six points (2G / 4A) in 15 games since joining the Blackhawks.

Gruden will draw into the Penguins' lineup for Thursday's game in Chicago.

With Jake Guentzel (upper body) being placed on Injured Reserve on Thursday, Jonathan Gruden was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) for the second time this season. The 23-year-old left-winger has enjoyed a strong fourth AHL season in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, with 11 goals, eight assists, 34 PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through 38 games this year.

Nedeljkovic will start in Chicago on Thursday.

As expected, Nedeljkovic will be between the pipes for the Penguins as they travel to Chicago on Thursday to play their second game in as many nights. Nedeljkovic's last start came on February 9th in Minnesota, when he allowed three goals on 30 shots enroute to a 3-2 defeat. Nedeljkovic has performed well when called upon this season, posting an 8-4-3 record to go along with an impressive .917 SV%. He and the Penguins are -190 favourites to pick up the win in Chicago on Thursday.
