Woll (personal) will start with the Marlies (AHL) on Tuesday and is expected to rejoin the Maple Leafs after that.

Woll had been away from the team for nearly the first four weeks of the season, but fully returned to practice last week, and will start for the Marlies (AHL) on Tuesday as part of his conditioning assignment. The 27-year-old Woll started in exactly half of Toronto's games last season, posting a 2.73 GAA and .909 SV%, and could be poised for similar or greater deployment if he can find his footing while Anthony Stolarz continues to struggle.

Stolarz will start in Boston on Tuesday.

In the 2024-25 season, Stolarz was among the best goalies in the NHL, finishing with an outstanding 2.14 GAA and .926 SV% in 34 outings (21-8-3). However, in his second season with the Maple Leafs, he has struggled to rediscover that elite form. The 31-year-old netminder will return to the crease on Tuesday, aiming to improve on a 3.35 GAA and .889 SV% through 12 games (6-5-1). The Maple Leafs, entering Tuesday as -136 road favorites, face a Boston Bruins team that beat Stolarz four times on 19 shots (.789 SV%) in a 5-3 win on Saturday.

Stolarz will start against the Mammoth on Wednesday.

The Maple Leafs are coming off an exciting come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins and will roll with Stolarz between the pipes on Wednesday against the Utah Mammoth. The 31-year-old Stolarz has won three straight contests and has improved his totals to a 3.12 GAA and .896 SV% in 10 games (5-4-1) after a rocky start to the season. The Maple Leafs enter Wednesday's contest as -149 home favorites against an exciting Mammoth team that is 9-4-0 this season.

Cowan has been assigned to the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Cowan has played 10 straight games for the Maple Leafs, but has been sent to the Marlies (AHL) to get some extra playing time. The 20-year-old first-year NHLer is averaging 12:33 time-on-ice and has four points (1G / 3A) in 10 games. The move corresponds with Scott Laughton being activated from Injured Reserve and drawing into the lineup on Wednesday.

Maccelli is expected to draw back into Toronto's lineup on Wednesday vs. Utah.

Macelli did not play in Monday's 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, his first time as a healthy scratch this season, but he will re-enter the lineup on Wednesday against the Utah Mammoth. The 25-year-old Finnish forward is averaging 13:40 time-on-ice, recording five points (2G / 3A) and 11 shots in 12 games.

Matias Maccelli
Laughton will make his season debut vs. Utah on Wednesday.

Laughton suffered a lower-body injury towards the end of training camp and has been sidelined since. The 31-year-old Laughton was limited to only four points (2G / 2A) in 20 games with the Maple Leafs after being acquired before last season's trade deadline. The Maple Leafs will hope that an offseason helps the 31-year-old acclimate to the team's style, allowing him to return to the production he had in his previous two full seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers, when he scored 82 points (31G / 51A) in 160 games. He is expected to play on a line with Steven Lorentz and Max Domi.
