William Nylander missed Wednesday's practice due to illness but will play Thursday vs. Seattle.

Nylander is having a phenomenal season leading the high-powered Maple Leafs in both goals (22) and points (45) across 38 games and will play Thursday after missing practice Wednesday due to an illness. He will look to continue to be a key contributor to Toronto's offence, which is seventh in the NHL in goals per game (3.42).

Murray stopped 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) as he got back in the win column with a victory over Colorado in his last start Saturday. The 28-year-old has been incredibly solid in his first season in Toronto, with his 9-3-2 record, 2.44 GAA and .920 SV%. Pacioretty has yet to play a game in 2022-23 due to surgery to repair a torn Achilles in the offseason but has been activated from the injured non-roster list Wednesday. The 34-year-old was acquired by the Hurricanes in the offseason after a 19 goal, 18 assist season in 39 games with Vegas in 2021-22.

Matt Benning will be a game-time decision Thursday vs. Philadelphia (undisclosed).

Benning has a goal, 13 assists, 26 SOG and 16 PIMs in 36 games but will be a game-time decision Thursday vs. the Flyers. Benning is on pace for career numbers across the board in his first season in San Jose.
