The Panthers have signed Vladislav Kolyachonok to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Kolyachonok, 18, was a second-round pick of the Panthers this summer. The 6-foot-1, 184 lbs. defenseman had four goals and 25 assists (29 points) in 53 games in his first season with the Flint Firebirds (OHL).
Valimaki will miss six to nine months with a torn ACL.
The Flames D-depth took a hit in August when Valimaki suffered a torn ACL. Michael Stone was signed on Wednesday to help fill that void. Stone and Oscar Kylington will likely battle for the sixth spot to open the 2020 season. Best case scenario, Valimaki returns late in the season and is ready for the playoffs.
The Coyotes have signed Clayton Keller to an 8-year deal worth $57.2 million ($7.15M AAV).
Keller was set to become a restricted free agent after this 2020 season but the Coyotes locked him up early. Keller had a tremendous rookie season but took a step backward in 2019 but his shooting percentage and on-ice SH% should see some positive regression in 2020. Keller’s new contract makes him the highest-paid forward on the Coyotes, surpassing Phil Kessel’s $6.8 AAV.
The Penguins have signed John Marino to a two-year, entry-level contract.
Marino was acquired from the Oilers for a conditional sixth-round pick in late-July and signs his entry-level deal with the Penguins a few weeks later. Marino had 11 points (3G / 8A) in 33 games at Harvard University last season.

The Maple Leafs have signed Alex Kerfoot to a four-year deal worth $14 million ($3.5M AAV).
The Coyotes have re-signed Lawson Crouse to a three-year, $4.59M ($1.53M AAV) contract extension.

The Penguins have signed Andrew Agozzino to a two-year contract.
The Senators have acquired Michael Carcone, Nikita Zaitsev and Connor Brown from the Maple Leafs for Cody Ceci, Ben Harpur, Aaron Luchuk and a 2020 third-round pick.
Carcone moved from Utica (AHL) to the Marlies in the middle of last season and finished the year with 20 goals and 24 assists (44 points) in 62 AHL games. The 23-year-old will help bolster Belleville’s (AHL) lineup in 2020.
The Avalanche have acquired Kevin Connauton and a 2020 third-round pick from the Coyotes for Carl Soderberg.
Connauton appeared in 50 games with Arizona last season, posting just one goal and seven assists (eight points). The blueline is crowded right now in Colorado, so look for Connauton to serve as the No.6/7 defenseman for most of the 2020 campaign.
With the No.11 Pick in the 2019 NHL Draft the Arizona Coyotes select Victor Soderstrom.
The Blackhawks have acquired Olli Maatta from the Penguins for Dominik Kahun and a 2019 fifth-round pick.
Maatta was a first-round pick in 2012 but fell out of favour in Pittsburgh this past season. The Penguins brought in Jack Johnson and acquired Erik Gudbranson at the trade deadline and continued to push Maatta down the depth chart. The 24-year-old has had some injury issues throughout his career and is coming off of a season where he had 14 points (1G / 13A) in 60 games. Maatta, who has three years left at $4.083M AAV, will likely play on the Blackhawks third pairing.
The Predators have acquired Connor Ingram from the Lightning for a 2021 seventh-round pick.
Ingram, who was selected in the third-round (No.88 overall) in 2016, split his 2018-19 season between the AHL and ECHL. The 22-year-old was 14-7-0 with a 2.26 GAA and .922 SV% with Syracuse (AHL) and 8-2-0 with a 2.81 GAA and .914 SV% with Orlando (ECHL). With Pekka Rinne entering his age-37 season, Ingram could serve as the Predators’ future No.2 behind Juuse Saros.
The Capitals have signed Liam O’Brien to a one-year deal worth $700K.
O’Brien, 24, had 15 goals and 13 assists (28 points) in 74 games with the Hershey Bears (AHL) this season. The undrafted centre has just one goal and one assist in 17 career NHL games with Washington.

Bortuzzo was a healthy scratch in Game 4 with Vince Dunn returning from injury but will replace Joel Edmundson in the lineup on Thursday. Bortuzzo has registered two goals in 15 playoff games.
