With Thatcher Demko sidelined for the next few weeks, Vancouver recalled Silovs from Abbotsford (AHL). Silovs played five games in Vancouver last season but has spent the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign with Abbotsford, posting a 2.74 GAA and .907 SV% in 33 games (15-11-6). The 22-year-old Silovs is unlikely to see much, if any, action with Vancouver and will likely serve exclusively as Casey DeSmith's backup.

Brisebois has spent the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign with the Abbotsford Canucks, tallying six points (1G / 5A) in 36 games. He was the third-round pick of Vancouver in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and has played 27 career NHL games.

Matt Irwin was reassigned to the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL) on Monday, making room for Soucy to return to the Vancouver lineup. Soucy has not played since suffering a hand injury on January 20th. A steadying presence on the blue line, Soucy has been limited to only 21 games this season due to an earlier lower-body injury and is five weeks into his original five-to-six-week prognosis. The 29-year-old has six points (2G / 4A), 21 hits, and 39 blocks this season.

Demko had the night off in the last game for the Canucks, a 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks, but will return to the crease in a divisional matchup against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday. Demko has lost five of his last six, allowing four or more goals three times and posting an ugly .876 SV%. The Canucks enter action with even -105 odds on the road against a Kings club that defeated them 5-1 less than a week ago.
