Liljegren was limited to only 11:21 time-on-ice is Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Calgary Flames and did not play on Monday due to an upper-body injury. The 25-year-old defenseman is averaging 17:59 time-on-ice and has nine points (4G / 5A) in 45 games this season. Jack Thompson will be a healthy scratch for the Sharks to accommodate Liljegren's return to the lineup.

Lindgren will start vs. St. Louis on Thursday.

The Capitals are coming off a disappointing 3-1 loss to the Calgary Flames and will switch to Lindgren between the pipes on Thursday against the St. Louis Blues. Lindgren was serviceable in his most recent outing, saving 22 of 25 shots (.880 SV%) in a 7-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers. The 31-year-old goalie has a 2.64 GAA and .899 SV% in 26 games this season (13-9-3). The Capitals enter the action on Thursday as -157 home favorites against a Blues team with points in four straight (3-0-1).

Chisholm is expected to draw back into Minnesota's lineup on Tuesday vs. Detroit.

Sourdif has been recalled from the Charlotte Checkers (AHL).

Sourdif was a third-round pick, 87th overall, of the Panthers in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old has yet to play an NHL game this season after making his debut in 2023-24, playing three games with the Panthers. He has 22 points (11G / 11A) in 29 games with the Charlotte Checkers (AHL) this season.
