The Predators have acquired Anthony Beauvillier from the Blackhawks for a 2024 fifth-round pick.

Beauvillier was traded from the Vancouver Canucks to the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this season for a fifth-round pick and has now been flipped from the Blackhawks to the Predators for a fifth-rounder. The 26-year-old Beauvillier struggled for an offensively challenged Blackhawks team, registering six points (2G / 4A) and a - 10 plus/minus in 26 games.

Kampf (illness) skated during Wednesday's morning skate but is considered a game-time decision.

Kampf played on Monday night, was absent from practice on Tuesday, but participated in the morning skate on Wednesday. Kampf has two points (1G / 1A) in his last 10 games while predominantly centring the teams' fourth line.

Washington signed Sandin to a five-year, $23 million contract extension ($4,600,000 AAV).

Sandin was acquired via trade from the Toronto Maple Leafs last year and has provided a secondary offensive punch from the Capitals' blueline in his first full season with the club. He currently has five points (1G / 4A) in his last seven games and will be signed with the Capitals until the end of the 2028-29 campaign.

Lindgren will get the opportunity to redeem himself after a forgettable performance in his last outing. The 30-year-old Lindgren allowed a season-worst eight goals on 31 shots (.742 SV%) in an 8-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday. After a tremendous start to the season, posting a .927 SV% in his first 18 games (9-4-3), Lindgren has fallen off significantly, showcasing an awful .872 SV% in his last 10 outings (3-5-2). The Capitals enter action against the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday as slight +103 home underdogs.
