
Fucale, 21, has been recalled to serve as Carey Price’s backup with Al Montoya (lower-body) unavailable. Fucalle has gone 0-2-0 with a 3.56 GAA and .887 SV% in two games with St. John’s (AHL) and 25-12-2 with a 3.17 GAA and .898 SV% with Brampton.
Sgarbossa left after being hit hard by Rangers’ forward Chris Kreider and did not return. It was immediately apparent that Sgarbossa was hurt, but he has a few days to recover before the Panthers next game on Friday.
Oshie has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury, but will return to the lineup against the Flyers on Saturday. Oshie was hurt against the Flyers on February 22nd, but will be back with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom on the top line tonight. Oshie had a great month of February before getting hurt, recording six goals and five assists (11 points) in nine games.
McIlrath, 24, was the 10th overall pick in 2010 and has had a tough time elevating his game to the NHL-level. The 6-foot-5, 220 lbs. defenseman has been waived a few times this season and will likely report to Grand Rapids (AHL). McIlrath has one goal and three assists in 22 AHL games this season and five points (3G / 2A) in 43 career NHL games.
Oshie will miss his third consecutive game with an upper-body injury that he suffered last Wednesday in Philadelphia. With Oshie out and Zach Sanford traded yesterday, Jakub Vrana is up from Hershey (AHL) and will be in the lineup tonight.
Oshie missed last night’s game vs. the Oilers and did not travel to Nashville for Saturday’s game because of an upper-body injury. With Oshie out, Brett Connolly is expected to skate on the top line and Riley Barber is expected to remain in the lineup. Oshie is day-to-day.
Sgarbossa was a healthy scratch for the last two games, but will replace Greg McKregg in the lineup tonight. Sgarbossa has two goals and four assists (six points) in 19 games with the Panthers this season.
Hagelin has missed the last four games with a concussion, but ditched his no-contact jersey at Thursday’s morning skate. Despite sporting a regular jersey, Hagelin rotated in with the defensemen and is not expected to play vs. the Jets.
