Miromanov has been reassigned to Henderson (AHL) on a long-term injury conditioning loan.

Miromanov spent last season split between Vegas and Henderson (AHL) but suffered an injury that has kept him sidelined so far this season. The 26-year-old Miromanov appeared in 14 games last season and picked up two goals, four assists, 22 SOG, two PIMs and a -6 plus/minus before his injury.

Elvis Merzlikins will start Tuesday in Edmonton.

After serving as the backup for six straight games, Merzlikins will start for the third straight time on Tuesday evening. Merzlikins allowed four goals on 32 shots (.875 SV%) in his last outing, a 4-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils, his first regulation loss since the beginning of December. Before that, Merzlikins was sporting a respectable .905 SV% in his last seven appearances (3-0-3). That said, Merzlikins and the Blue Jackets are overwhelming +298 road underdogs against a scorching Edmonton Oilers club searching for their 14th straight victory.

Elvis Merzlikins
van Riemsdyk will draw back into the Capitals' lineup Tuesday vs. Minnesota.

Van Riemsdyk has been a healthy scratch in two of the last three games but will join Rasmus Sandin as Capitals' blueliners making their return to the lineup on Tuesday. Van Riemsdyk has one point (0G / 1A) in his last seven games while averaging over 18 minutes time-on-ice. Ethan Bear and Alexander Alexeyev are expected to be healthy scratches on Tuesday.

Trevor van Riemsdyk
Bear will be a healthy scratch Tuesday vs. Minnesota.

Bear will exit the lineup for the first time since joining the Capitals team at the end of December. In 11 games, Bear has two points (1G / 1A), 19 shots, and 17 blocks. Alexander Alexeyev will also be a healthy scratch for the Capitals as Rasmus Sandin and Trevor van Riemsdyk will draw back into the lineup.

Ethan Bear
Sandin (upper body) will return to the Capitals' lineup Tuesday after an eight game absence.

Sandin will play his first game since January 3rd, joining Trevor van Riemsdyk as Capitals' blueliners making their return to the lineup on Tuesday. Sandin was on a hot streak before his injury, scoring five points (0G / 5A) in his last five games. Ethan Bear and Alexander Alexeyev are expected to be healthy scratches on Tuesday.

Rasmus Sandin
Markstrom will start Tuesday vs. St. Louis.

Markstrom has battled a lower-body injury that has kept him out of the lineup for the last three games but will return to the crease on Tuesday. The 33-year-old netminder is riding a three-game winning streak, saving 93 of 99 shots (.939 SV%) in the process. The Flames, without Markstrom, have lost two straight games but are -169 home favourites against the St. Louis Blues, coming off a 3-0 victory over the Washington Capitals.

Jacob Markstrom
Scheifele (lower body) was on the ice in a regular practice jersey Tuesday.

Scheifele has missed four straight games but was a full participant at practice for the first time on Tuesday. Before his injury, Scheifele had five points (2G / 3A) while riding a four-game point streak. His next opportunity to return to the lineup will be on Wednesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Mark Scheifele
Schwindt is expected to make his Flames debut Tuesday vs. St. Louis.

Schwindt has three NHL games under his belt but has spent the majority of the last four seasons in the AHL. Schwindt was the 81st overall pick of the Florida Panthers in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and has 20 points (8G / 12A) in 37 games with the Calgary Wranglers of the AHL this season. He win draw into the lineup in favour of Adam Ruzicka.

Cole Schwindt
Kuemper will start Tuesday at Minnesota.

Kuemper served as the backup for the last two Capitals' games but will return to the crease on Tuesday against his former club, the Minnesota Wild. Kuemper is 4-5-1 in his career against Minnesota, with a 2.78 GAA and .908 SV%, well below his career average. Taking that into consideration, along with the Capitals being shut out 3-0 to the St. Louis Blues in their last game, the Capitals are +147 road underdogs on Tuesday against the Wild, who are riding a two-game winning streak.

Darcy Kuemper
Skinner is in the starter's crease at Tuesday's morning skate.

Skinner will likely start for the fifth straight game as the red-hot Oilers host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday. The Oilers are riding a franchise-best 13-game winning streak and are sizeable -349 home favourites against a Blue Jackets squad that has lost four of their last five (1-3-1). The entire Oilers' roster has worked in tandem during their unprecedented winning streak, but Skinner has been the team's backbone, allowing two or fewer goals in nine of his last 10 outings (10-0-0), posting a remarkable .947 SV%.
