Pacioretty was not on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate, so it seems unlikely that he will be available for Game 2 but calling him a game-time decision at least keeps the possibility open. After being shut out in Game 1, the Golden Knights could certainly use Pacioretty's services in Game 2.
Eller left Game 2 with a lower-body injury and did not return. Eller played just 9:38 TOI before retiring to the dressing room. Head coach Peter Laviolette called him day-to-day, so his status for Game 3 is up in the air.
Head coach Barry Trotz would not commit to a starting goalie for Game 2, only saying that a "Russian" will be in net. Ilya Sorokin was in the starter's crease at the morning skate, suggesting that he will start again but tune in for warmups to find out for sure.
Lauzon was scratched from the lineup for Game 2 and has already been ruled out for Game 3 as well. Look for Connor Clifton to remain in the lineup on Wednesday.
Lammikko will make his playoffs debut with Sam Bennett suspended for Game 2. Lammikko will centre the fourth line and comes in with four goals and one assist (five points) in 44 games this season.
Dumoulin was nicked up in Game 1 and missed Monday's practice for "maintenance." It seems whatever was ailing Dumoulin is still lingering, leaving his status for Game 2 up in the air.
Malkin missed Game 1 and will be a game-time decision for Game 2. Malkin did not take part in line rushes during Monday's practice, so it doesn't appear as if he will play but keep an eye on his status as the Penguins hit the ice for warmups at 7:00 PM ET.
