Barkov is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Barkov suffered a lower-body injury on a knee-on-knee collision with Scott Mayfield on Tuesday. Barkov will not need surgery but is still expected to miss a couple of weeks. With Barkov out, Sam Bennett was on the top line with Jonathan Huberdeau and Anthony Duclair, while Anton Lundell moved up to the second line in Wednesday's practice.

Vilardi (COVID-19) was assigned to Ontario (AHL) on Tuesday.

Vilardi has not played since November 2nd but was activated from the COVID-19 protocol list and sent to the AHL yesterday. Rasmus Kupari has stepped up as the Kings' No.3 centre, so Vilardi can go back to the AHL and get back up to speed after a couple of weeks out of the lineup.

Arvidsson (COVID-19) practiced on Tuesday and could play on Wednesday.

Arvidsson made it through a full practice on Tuesday and appears to be set to play Wednesday vs. the Capitals. Arvidsson, who has been out since October 30th, skated on the top line and top power-play unit in practice.
