Sherwood appeared in two games with the Blue Jackets last season but started 2019-20 in the AHL. The 22-year-old forward scored three goals and one assist in 10 games with Cleveland and will replace Jakob Lilja on the fourth line on Saturday.

After the Lightning signed Curtis McElhinney, Domingue was pushed back to the AHL, where he is 2-1-1 with a 3.81 GAA and .863 SV% to start the season. Domingue provides the Devils with extra goaltending depth, a position that has been lacking to start 2019-20.

Howard stopped 31 of 32 shots in the Red Wings win over the Oilers on Tuesday. The Red Wings' netminders have been alternating starts but on Friday, Hethey will start Howard two in a row for the first time this season. He is 10-10-1 on the road since the start of last season and Hurricanes present a very scary road matchup for Howie and the Red Wings.


Ullmark stopped all 41 shots that he faced in the Sabres shutout win in Detroit last Friday. He will start the front-end of the Sabres back-to-back, which leaves Carter Hutton to face the Islanders on Saturday. Ullmark has won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.21 GAA, .938 SV% and one shutout. He’ll be in tough against a Capitals team that is third in goal scoring (3.79 GF/gm).

Holtby allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Capitals win in Toronto on Tuesday. It hasn't always been pretty at times but suddenly Holtby has won four of his last five (4-0-1) starts while posting a 2.95 GAA an .916 SV%. On Friday, he will face the 9-2-2 Sabres, who he was 1-1-0 with a .932 SV% against in 2018-19.

Kuemper allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Coyotes win in Buffalo on Monday. Kuemper has been victorious in five of his last six starts while posting a 1.98 GAA and .929 SV%. He has simply been one of the best goalies in the NHL since the middle of last season and is a solid option against an Avalanche team without 2/3 of their top-line. Kuemper comes in at 2-1-0 with a 1.34 GAA and .955 SV% on home-ice.

Larsson has appeared in all 14 games so far this season, collecting just one assist while playing 17:19 ATOI. With Hampus Lindholm healthy, Larsson will come out and Josh Mahura will stay in.

Gaudette will dress in an NHL game for the first time since October 12th but with Micheal Ferland out with a concussion, Gaudette will suit up in Anaheim. Gaudette has one assist in three games this season.

Gibson allowed four goals on 40 shots in the Ducks win over the Jets on Tuesday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for Gibson, who finished October at 5-6-0 with a 2.66 GAA and .920 SV%. In two starts against Vancouver last season, Gibson went 2-0-0 with a 3.52 GAA and .883 SV% but this Canucks team comes in ranked fifth in the league in goal-scoring.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Canucks win in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Markstrom has won five of his last six starts (5-0-1) while posting a 2.60 GAA and .919 SV%. He struggled to 1-3-0 vs. the Ducks last year but the Canucks are firing on all cylinders offensively right now, so Markstrom has a good chance at chalking up his sixth win.

Little was listed as questionable for Friday's game but head coach Paul Maurice told reporters that Little was feeling better this morning and will be a game-time decision in San Jose. Little is on a three-game point streak, scoring two goals with two assists during that stretch.

Lindholm has missed the last two games but will play Friday barring a setback this afternoon. Lindholm will likely replace Josh Mahura and skate on the top-pair with Cam Fowler while Josh Manson remains sidelined.

Rittich allowed five goals on 36 shots in the Flames win in Nashville on Thursday. The win ended a brief two-game losing skid for Rittich, who was 6-4-2 with a 3.02 GAA and .906 in 12 starts in October. He did not lose in regulation in Calgary but has struggled on the road, going 2-4-1 with a 3.66 GAA and .893 SV% in seven starts. Tonight he faces a Blue Jackets team that has lost three in a row and come in on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Suess could be making his NHL debut on Friday nought, altering scoring one goal in eight games with the Moose. The former fifth-round pick will replace Luca Sbisa in the lineup as the Jets go back to the traditional 12 forwards, six defensemen look.

Graves was a healthy scratch on Wednesday but will replace Mark Barberio on Friday night. Graves has one goal, one assist and a plus-5 rating in 11 games this season.

Ferland was already ruled out of at least the next two games so his move to IR opens up a roster spot to call-up his replacement, Sven Baertschi.

Brodzinski has appeared in just two games this season but will replace Dylan Gambrell, who will miss at least two games with an upper-body injury. Brodzinski has just 11 points (6G / 5A) in 56 career NHL games.
