Ullmark will start Friday in Detroit.

Ullmark allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Sabres win in San Jose on Saturday. The Sabres broke their goalie rotation on Thursday but that leaves Ullmark to start the tail-end of a back-to-back in Detroit. The 26-year-old is 2-1-1 with a 3.18 GAA and .913 SV% in his first four starts of the year and has had a lot of success vs. Detroit in his career—3-0-2 with a 2.50 GAA and .924 SV%.

Linus Ullmark
Andersen starts Friday vs. the Sharks.

Andersen allowed four goals on 38 shots in the Maple Leafs overtime loss to the Blue Jackets on Monday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Andersen, who will start the front-end of a back-to-back on Friday. The 30-year-old is 3-2-1 with a 3.77 GAA and .888 SV% on home-ice this season and catches the Sharks on the back-end of a back-to-back.

Frederik Andersen
Fleury is expected to start Friday vs. the Avalanche.

Fleury allowed one goal on 32 shots in the Golden Knights win in Chicago on Tuesday. Fleury has won three in a row while allowing just three goals on 100 shots (.970 SV%). The 34-year-old has gone 3-2-0 with a 2.77 GAA and .918 SV% on home-ice this season and today Vegas hosts a Colorado team without Mikko Rantanen. Fleury stopped 31 of 32 shots in a 2-1 win in his only start against the Avalanche last season.

Marc-Andre Fleury
The Flames have recalled Alan Quine from Stockton (AHL).

Quine was recalled sent down but Austin Czarnik landing on LTIR opened the door for Quine to be recalled yet again. He has five points (1G / 4A) in four AHL games this season and 27 points (9G / 18A) in 98 career NHL games with the Islanders and Flames.

Alan Quine
Vesey left Thursday’s game with an undisclosed injury; questionable to play Friday.

Vesey played just 6:08 last year before leaving the contest. Vesey is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, which suggests that he won’t play in Detroit on Friday. Expect Evan Rodrigues to replace him in the lineup.

Jimmy Vesey
Howard will start Friday vs. the Sabres.

Howard gave up four goals on 40 shots in the Red Wings loss to the Canucks on Tuesday. Howard was great in the first two periods but allowed four consecutive in the third, leading to his fourth straight loss. During his losing skid, Howard has allowed a combined 16 goals on 145 shots (.890 SV%). He was 1-2-1 with a 3.87 GAA and .884 SV% vs. the Sabres last year.

Jimmy Howard
Krejci (upper-body) is doubtful to play Saturday.

The Bruins have a back-to-back this weekend so if Krejci is doubtful for Saturday’s game vs. the Blues he’s probably equally as unlikely to play Sunday in New York. Par Lindholm is expected to centre the Bruins second line on Saturday.
