Laine (concussion) resumed skating on Wednesday; remains without a timetable for his return.

Laine will miss his sixth consecutive game on Wednesday, but he skated this morning for the first time since suffering a concussion on January 7th. Head coach Paul Maurice said Laine remains without a timetable for his return, but monitor his status heading into Saturday’s game vs. the Blues.

Patrik Laine
Rask was the first goalie off of the ice.

Rask was pulled after he allowed three goals on 15 shots in the Bruins’ loss to the Islanders on Monday. Rask has gone 3-3-0 with a 2.56 GAA and .888 SV% in his first seven starts of January. Tonight he will make his second start of the season vs. the Red Wings—he stopped all 24 shots that he faced in a 1-0 shutout win in the first meeting.

Tuukka Rask
Murray was the first goalie off of the ice.

Murray allowed seven goals on 28 shots in the Penguins 8-7 overtime win vs. the Capitals on Monday. You rarely see a goalie allow seven goals and walk away with the win and almost never see him start the next game, but that will be the case tonight in Montreal. The 22-year-old has gone 6-4-0 with a 2.60 GAA and .908 SV% on the road this season.

Matt Murray
Smith will start Wednesday in Winnipeg.

Smith allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Coyotes loss in Edmonton on Monday. Smith has allowed three-plus goals in eight of his last nine starts while allowing a combined 23 goals on 291 shots (.890 SV%). Smith has gone 3-5-3 with a 2.72 GAA and .920 SV% on the road this season and he’ll face a Jets team that has lost four in a row.

Mike Smith
Coreau will start Wednesday vs. the Bruins.

Coreau stopped all 18 shots that he faced in the Red Wings’ 1-0 shutout win over the Canadiens on Monday afternoon. It was Coreau’s fifth win and second shutout in his first eight NHL starts. Over that span he has gone 5-1-1 with a 2.70 GAA and .911 SV%, including going 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .939 SV% in his first two starts at Joe Louis Arena.

Jared Coreau
Price will start Wednesday vs. the Penguins.

Price allowed one goal on 20 shots in the Canadiens’ 1-0 loss in Detroit on Monday afternoon. Price has gone 3-3-0 with a 3.30 GAA and .886 Sv% in six January starts and tonight he will face the Penguins for the second time this season. Coreau is in the starter's crease this morning.

Reimer will start Wednesday in Edmonton.

Reimer allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Panthers’ win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday night. Roberto Luongo started last night in Calgary, so Reimer gets the nod tonight in Edmonton. Reimer has won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.25GAA and .933 SV%. The 28-year-old has gone 4-3-2 with a 2.55 GAA and .913 SV% in his first 10 road appearances in 2016-17.

James Reimer
Rinne leads the Predators onto the ice for warmups.

Rinne allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Predators win in Colorado on Saturday. Rinne has won three of his last four starts while posting a 1.72 GAA and .940 SV%. Rinne hasn’t bee great on the road, but will face the Canucks for the second time in a week—he stopped 29 shots in a 2-1 OT win over the Canucks last Tuesday.

Pekka Rinne
Bishop leads the Lightning onto the ice for warmups.

Bishop allowed one goal on 32 shots in the Lightning’s win over the Kings yesterday afternoon. Bishop has stopped 55 of the 58 shots (.948 SV%) that he has faced in two wins since retuning to the Lightning crease. With Andrei Vasilevskiy struggling in his absence, it’s not surprising to see Bishop go again tonight, especially because of the extra rest due to yesterday’s afternoon game.

Ben Bishop
Niemi leads the Stars onto the ice for warmups.

Niemi stopped all three shots that he faced in relief of Kari Lehtonen in the Stars loss to the Wild on Saturday. Lehtonen started yesterday in Buffalo, so Niemi will go tonight in New York. Niemi has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.87 GAA and .904 SV% in January and was excellent in his first start vs. the Rangers—that said, this is a risky matchup for an inconsistent netminder.

Antti Niemi
Gibson starts Tuesday vs. the Lightning.

Gibson allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Ducks’ loss to the Blues on Sunday. It looks like Gibson will go again tonight, despite Jonathan Bernier posting a shutout on Saturday. Gibson has been great in January, going 5-1-1 with a 1.42 GAA and .956 SV% in seven starts this month. He’ll face a Lightning team without Stamkos, Hedman, Callahan and more.

John Gibson
Luongo will start Tuesday in Calgary.

Luongo allowed four goals on 41 shots in the Panthers’ loss to the Islanders last Friday. Luongo is 2-2-0 with a 2.26 GAA and .935 SV% in four January starts. Tonight he will face a Flames team that has lost four of their last six games. The 37-year-old is 5-5-3 with a 2.39 GAA and .919 SV% in 13 starts outside of Sunrise, Florida.

Roberto Luongo
Ribeiro is expected to return to the Predators lineup on Tuesday.

Ribeiro was a heathy scratch for two straight games, but is expected to be back in the lineup tonight, replacing Craig Smith. Ribeiro has four goals and 18 assists (22 points) in 41 games so far this season.

Mike Ribeiro
Subban (upper-body) is not expected to play on Tuesday.

Subban practiced on Monday and skated during Tuesday’s morning skate, but stayed on with the extras and is not expected to play in Vancouver. Monitor his status prior to Thursday’s game in Calgary.

P.K. Subban
Bobrovsky (illness) will return to the Blue Jackets crease on Tuesday.

Bobrovsky missed the last three games with an illness, but will start tonight vs. the Hurricanes. In his last start, Bob stopped 25 of 26 shots in a win over the Flyers. The 28-year-old has gone 15-3-0 with a 1.84 GAA and .939 SV% in 18 starts at Nationwide Arena this season—he’ll face a Hurricanes team that ranks 11th in the NHL in scoring (2.77 GF/PG).

Sergei Bobrovsky
Rinne is expected to start Tuesday in Vancouver.

Rinne allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Predators win in Colorado on Saturday. Rinne has won three of his last four starts while posting a 1.72 GAA and .940 SV%.
