Lehner will start Tuesday vs. the Kings.

Lehner allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Sabres’ loss to the Washington last Friday. Lehner has lost his first three starts of December (0-2-1) while posting a 2.67 GAA and .915 SV%. Tonight he will take on a Kings team that is three games above .500 and come in having lost three of their last five.

Halak will start Tuesday vs. the Capitals.

Halak surrendered six goals on 38 shots in the Islanders’ loss in Columbus on Saturday. It was a rough outing for Halak, who is 2-1-1 with a 3.06 GAA and .919 SV% in his last four outings. Tonight he’ll face the Capitals for the second time in two weeks—he posted a 38-save shutout on December 1st.

Allen will start Tuesday in Nashville.

Allen allowed two goals on 24 shots in the Blues’ 3-1 loss in Minnesota on Sunday. Allen has gone 1-2-0 with a 2.03 GAA and .917 SV% in the first three games of the Blues’ current road-trip that continues tonight in Nashville. In his first start vs. the Predators, Allen stopped 30 of 31 shots in a 3-1 victory.

Murray leads the Penguins onto the ice for warmups.

Murray allowed three goals on 23 shots in the Penguins’ win in Tampa Bay on Saturday. Murray has registered three consecutive wins while posting a 1.96 GAA and .929 SV%. Murray is a must-start on Monday against a Coyotes team that has lost six of their last seven game (1-3-3) while averaging just 1.71 goals per game.

Rask will start Monday in Montreal.

Rask surrendered three goals on 19 shots in the Bruins’ loss to the Maple Leafs on Saturday. It was a rough performance for Rask, who has had two bad outings in a row, allowing a combined seven goals on 39 shots (.821 SV%). Rask has sat out of the first two games vs. Montreal this season and comes in 5-15-3 with a 2.69 GAA and .910 SV% in his career vs. the Canadiens.

Vatrano (foot) did not travel to Montreal.

Vatrano shed his no-contact sweater and was a full participant in Sunday’s practice, but stayed in Boston while the team left for a brief two-game road-trip. Vatrano has yet to play this season after tearing ligaments in his foot during the preseason. Vatrano is nearing a return, but it won’t come until Thursday at the earliest and even that seems unlikely.

Seabrook has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but he will travel with the team to New York for Tuesday’s game. Monitor his status during the morning skate, but all signs are pointing towards him returning. Seabrook has two goals and 14 assists (16 points) in 28 games this season.

Toews (upper-body) will travel to New York; could play on Tuesday.

Toews has missed the last nine games with an upper-body injury, but he skated on Sunday and will travel with the team to New York. Monitor Toews’ status during Tuesday’s morning skate, but all signs are pointing towards him being available vs. the Rangers. The Blackhawks’ captain has 12 points (4G / 8A) in 21 games this season.

Okposo (illness) missed Monday’s practice; questionable for Tuesday’s game.

The Sabres took to the ice for practice on Monday, but Okposo did not participate because of an illness. Head coach Dan Bylsma spoke after practice and said he hopes Okposo will be good to go tomorrow—Matt Moulson skated in Okposo’s spot this morning.

Foligno (illness) returned to practice on Monday; expected to be in the lineup on Tuesday.

Foligno missed both of the Blue Jackets’ games over the weekend because of an illness, but he was back on the ice this afternoon and should be back in the lineup on Tuesday. Foligno has had a great season to date, having scored 10 goals with 12 assists (22 points) in 24 games.

Smith will start Monday in Pittsburgh.

Smith stopped 44 of 45 shots in the Coyotes’ win over the Predators on Saturday. Smith is facing a whopping 38 shots per 60 minutes in his 11 starts since returning from injury. Over that stretch he has gone 4-3-4 with a 2.44 GAA and .936 SV%. Smith is playing very well, but wins will be limited because of the Coyotes’ lack of offence.

Staal (concussion) could be back in the lineup on Tuesday.

Staal has missed the last seven games with a concussion, but head coach Bill Peters said that he will play on Tuesday as long as the doctors clear him to do so. Monitor Staal’s status during the Hurricanes’ morning skate—he has nine points (5G / 4A) in 21 games this season.

Tonight will be Price’s third start against the Bruins this season—he has gone 2-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .938 SV% in the first two meetings between these two bitter rivals.
