John Gibson allowed five on Wednesday, so they’ll give Bernier a chance to redeem himself tonight vs. San Jose. He has faced the Sharks twice already this season and has gone 1-0-0 with a 2.25 GAA and .912 SV%.
Raanta allowed one goal on 18 shots in the Rangers’ win in Winnipeg last night. With Henrik Lundqvist not playing well, Raanta will start on back-to-back nights. Raanta has gone 6-1-0 with a 2.05 GAA and .932 SV% in eight starts and one relief appearance and tonight he’ll take on his former team. Chicago is an impressive 11-2-2 on home ice this season.
Bjorkstrand has been recalled on an emergency basis, so someone is likely out tonight. Bjorkstrand made the team out of the training camp, but failed to record a point in three games. The 21-year-old has 12 points (8G / 4A) in 19 games since being sent down.
Dubnyk allowed two goals on 37 shots in the Wild’s win in Toronto on Wednesday. Dubnyk has won two in a row and four of his last six starts while posting a 1.77 GAA And .941 SV%. Tonight he will face his former team for the second time in a week—in Edmonton on Sunday, Dubnyk stopped 28 of 29 shots in a 2-1 OT win.
Clutterbuck has picked up two goals and seven assists (nine points) in 25 games this season. The fourth liner has played some games alongside John Tavares, but has spent the majority of the year in the bottom-6. Clutterbuck’s new contract will kick in next year and carry him through the 2021-22 season.
Dickinson played 10:08 with the Stars on Thursday, but with Jiri Hudler set to return on Saturday, Dickinson will return to AHL where he’s had a very strong first quarter.
Hudler has missed all but four games this season with a mystery illness, but has been activated from IR and is set to play on Saturday. Hudler has no points or shots in four games this season.
Folin has missed the last five games with a knee injury but head coach Bruce Boudreau expects him to take warmups tonight and could return to the lineup. Olin has two assists, 16 PIMS and 18 shots in 19 games this season.
