Anderson is expected to leave the team from time to time to be with his wife. Andrew Hammond was recalled on Tuesday and is expected to serve as Mike Condon’s backup on Thursday. There’s no word on when Anderson will return to the team.
Gaudreau has missed the last two weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured finger. Gaudreau’s return to the ice is a positive step for the Flames’ winger, but he isn’t nearing a return until he ditches the non-contact sweater.
Johnson gave up five goals on 43 shots in the Flames’ loss in Philadelphia on Saturday. Brian Elliott played well on Sunday, but Johnson will go tonight vs. Toronto. Johnson has gone 6-3-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .930 SV% in nine November starts and has gone 2-2-0 on home-ice this season.
Dano’s face was pretty carved up in Tuesday’s game and forced him to leave and not return. Dano tweeted a picture of his face post-game and seemed to be in good spirits, which bodes well for his availability for Thursday’s game.
Methot played for 15:22 TOI before exiting Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury. Senators’ head coach Guy Boucher said after the game that Methot is day-to-day, which has him questionable for Thursday’s game.
Ryan missed two games with a hand injury before returning for the last four—Ryan re-aggravated the injury on Tuesday and will miss at least one game. It sounds like Ryan will miss some time, but monitor his status after Thursday’s game. Until then, consider him as day-to-day.
Liles suffered a concussion after he crashed face-first into the boards in Sunday’s win over the Lightning. With Liles out, Joe Morrow was back in the lineup with Liles out and expect that to remain the case until Zdeno Chara is good-to-go.
Callahan missed Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and is listed as day-to-day. The Lightning are back in action on Thursday, so monitor Callahan’s status during tomorrow’s morning skate.
Quine has played in four straight games, recording one assist to give him three points (1G / 2A) in 13 games with the Islanders. He will come out of the lineup on Wednesday. He will be replaced by Ryan Strome, who has sat out the last two games.
Mayfield has appeared in one game with the Islanders this season, having spent the majority of the year in Bridgeport (AHL), where he has two points (1G / 1A) in 12 games. The 24-year-old will replace an injured Adam Pelech.
Strome was a healthy scratch in the last two games, but will be in the lineup for Alan Quine on Wednesday. Strome has collected six points (2G / 4A) in 19 games this season. He will play centre, likely on the third line with Jason Chimera and Anders Lee.
Pelech is expected to miss a few games with an upper-body injury that he suffered in Monday’s win over the Flames. With Pelech out, Scott Mayfield will play in his second game of the season.
Greiss allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Islanders’ overtime win over the Flames on Monday. Greiss will start his third straight game, having won two of his last three while posting a 1.94 GAA and .937 SV%. Tonight he faces the Penguins on home-ice—Pittsburgh has lost three of five and Greiss has gone 3-2-0 with a 2.60 GAA and .915 SV% at Barclays Center.

Rinne is red-hot and tonight he will take on an Avalanche team that has lost three of their last five and sit one-game under .500.
Luongo allowed one goal on 37 shots in the Panthers’ win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. James Reimer started and lost on Sunday, so Luongo is expected to be in goal tonight in Chicago. Luongo has won five of his last six starts while posting a 1.78 GAA and .944 SV%. He will take on a Blackhawks team that has lost three of four.
Lehtonen allowed four goals on 20 shots in the Stars’ loss in Nashville last Wednesday. Lehtonen has gone 3-3-2 with a 3.85 GAA and .875 SV% in eight November starts and tonight he’ll make his ninth start on the road—he has gone 3-4-2 with a 3.33 HAA and .879 SV% in the previous eight.
