Talbot allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Oilers’ loss in Nashville last night. It was a better outing than his game vs. the Wild on Tuesday, but he still ended up with the “L.” Tonight he will face the Hurricanes for the second time this season—he stopped 31 of 33 shots in a 3-2 win in the first meeting.

Gibson allowed one goal on 29 shots in the Ducks’ win over the Avalanche on Tuesday. Gibson finished January with a great 8-2-1 record, 1.59 GAA, .946 SV% and two shutouts. Tonight he faces the Panthers, who will be getting two of their best forwards (Aleksander Barkov & Jonathan Huberdeau) back in the lineup.

Elliott allowed one goal on 29 shots in the Flames’ win over the Wild on Wednesday. Elliott has won two in a row, while stopping 53 of 56 shots (.946 SV%) so tonight he’ll make his third consecutive start. Elliott has had a mostly difficult season, but he is playing well right now and should be a good option in New Jersey.

Neuvirth allowed one goal on 16 shots in the Flyers’ win over the Canadiens on Thursday. It was an easy night for Neuvirth, who has won his last two starts while turning aside 42 of 44 shots (.955 SV%). This afternoon he faces the Kings for the second time this season—he stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 4-2 win in his first start of the season.

Ward was in the starter’s crease this morning, but left the gameday skate early so his status for tonight’s game remains uncertain. Head coach Bill Peters called his starting goalie a game-time decision, so it sounds like it will be Ward as long as he is good-to-go.

Mrazek gave up four goals on 28 shots in the Red Wings’ loss to the Maple Leafs on January 25th. Mrazek has gone 6-6-2 with a 3.08 GAA and .890 SV% at Joe Louis Arena this season and despite winning his first start vs. the Islanders, they’re much improved right now and Mrazek is a risky option tonight.

Reimer allowed one goal on 32 shots in the Panthers’ win over the Lightning on before the All-Star break. Roberto Luongo started on Tuesday because Reimer and his wife were having a baby, but Reimer will be in tonight vs. the Ducks. The 28-year-old is 4-3-1 with a 2.47 GAA and .925 SV% on home-ice and tonight he’ll play behind a fully healthy Panthers team for the first time.

Murray allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Penguins’ win over the Predators on Tuesday. Murray has gone 5-2-0 in his previous seven starts while posting a 2.72 GAA and .916 SV%. Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Blue Jackets’ loss in Nashville before the All-Star break. Bobrovsky has lost his last two starts while allowing a combined eight goals on 56 shots (.857 SV%). He was victorious in his first start vs. the Penguins and comes into Pittsburgh at 11-5-2 with a 2.45 GAA and .914 SV% on the road this season.

Barkov has been sidelined since December 28th, but will return to the Panthers’ top line tonight. In addition to Barkov, Jonathan Huberdeau will make his season debut which is huge for Barkov. They played together a ton last season and should be reunited tonight. Before getting hurt, Barkov had nine goals and 18 assists (27 points) in 36 games.

Huberdeau was hurt in a preseason game and missed the first 51 games of the season, but will make his season debut tonight versus the Ducks. Huberdeau’s injury really hurt the Panthers, but he returns with them just outside of the playoffs. Huberdeau had a break-out 2015-16 season, scoring 20 goals with 39 assists (59 points) in 76 games. Expect him to be re-united with Aleksander Barkov, who also returns tonight and Jaromir Jagr.

Andersen was pulled after he allowed three goals on eight shots on Tuesday. It was a tough outing for Andersen, who posted back-to-back shutouts prior to Tuesday. Tonight he will take on a struggling Blues team that has lost five of their last six games and just fired their head coach.
