Hellebuyck gets the nod Thursday in Vancouver.

Hellebuyck made 37 stops on 39 shots in the Jets’ win in Edmonton on Monday. It was an excellent start for Hellebuyck, who has stopped 46 of 50 shots (.920 SV%) through one start and one relief appearance this season. He has looked a lot better than Steve Mason, so he will start tonight in Vancouver. The Canucks are 1-0-1 through their first two contests.

Connor Hellebuyck
Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick stopped 24 of 25 shots in the Kings win in San Jose on Saturday. Quick has played very well in his first two starts, kicking the season off at 2-0-0 while stopping 59 of 60 shots (.983 SV%). He will take on a Flames team that is 2-1-0 while averaging 2.67 goals for per game through the first season of the season.

Jonathan Quick
Kase is day-to-day with a head injury.

Kase left Tuesday’s game vs. Calgary and did not return after playing just 3:32 TOI. Kase missed Thursday’s morning skate and the Ducks announced pre-game that he is dealing with a head injury—he is day-to-day and questionable for Friday’s game in Colorado.

Ondrej Kase
Bishop will start Thursday in Nashville.

Bishop stopped 23 of 25 shots in the Stars’ win over the Red Wings on Tuesday. Through one and a half starts with Dallas, Bishop has turned away 42 of 44 shots (.955 SV%) and tonight he will make his third start of the season in Nashville. The Predators come in at 1-2-0 while averaging 3.00 goals for per game so far.

Ben Bishop
The Flyers have sent Samuel Morin to Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Morin cracked the Flyers’ opening night roster, but never made it into the lineup through the first four games. Morin returns to Lehigh Valley, where he had 16 points (3G / 13A) and 129 PIMS in 74 games last season. He’ll be back in the NHL at some point this season.

Samuel Morin
Eaves (lower-body) took part in the morning skate; will be a game-time decision tonight.

Eaves missed the first three games of the regular season, but it looks like he will make his season debut tonight vs. the Islanders. Eaves is officially listed as a game-time decision after skating with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry in the morning skate. Monitor his statues when the Ducks hit the ice for pre-game warmups.

Patrick Eaves
Gibson will start Wednesday vs. the Islanders.

Gibson allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Ducks’ loss to Calgary on Monday. Gibson didn’t get any offence in this one and is now 1-1-1 with a 3.05 GAA and .906 SV% in three starts to begin the year. Tonight he will take on an Islanders team that is also 1-1-1 while averaging 2.67 goals for per game.

John Gibson
Rask will start Wednesday in Colorado.

Rask allowed three goals on 22 shots in the Bruins’ 4-0 loss to Colorado on Monday. Rask didn’t get any goal support in this one and has given up three goals in each of his first two starts of the season. Tonight he will get a second crack at the Avalanche—he was 17-10-4 with a 2.41 GAA and .914 SV% on the road last season.

Tuukka Rask
Varlamov will start Wednesday vs. the Bruins.

Varlamov stopped all 29 shots that he faced in Colorado’s shutout win in Boston on Monday afternoon. In his first two starts of the season, Varlamov has stopped 66 of 68 shots (.971 SV%) en route to a 2-0-0 start. Tonight he will take on the Bruins again—they’re still without Patrice Bergeron and David Backes, but expect a better effort from them tonight.

Semyon Varlamov
DeKeyser is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

DeKeyser suffered a lower-body injury in the Red Wings’ loss in Dallas on Tuesday. The Red Wings start a back-to-back on Thursday, so monitor DeKeyser’s status during their morning skate. Niklas Kronwall said he hopes to be back by Thursday, so he could take DeKeyser’s spot in the lineup.

Dan DeKeyser
Andersen will start Wednesday vs. the Devils.

Andersen allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Maple Leafs’ overtime win over the Blackhawks on Monday. Andersen has started the season 3-0-0 despite posting a 3.28 GAA and .892 SV%. The Great Dane will see a lot of rubber this season, but should have a ton of goal support. He will look to record his fourth straight win tonight vs. the Devils.

Frederik Andersen
Jagr will make his Flames debut on Wednesday.

Jagr sat out the first three games of the season as he worked his way back into game shape. The veteran winger will draw in tonight in Los Angeles, but it remains to be seen who he will play with. Jagr will likely start on the third line with Sam Bennett, but could work his way up to the top-line eventually.

Jaromir Jagr
Murray will start Wednesday in Washington.

Murray stopped all 26 shots that he faced in the Penguins’ shutout win over the Predators on Saturday. After two terrible outings to start the year, Murray got back on the right track over the weekend. In his young career, Murray has gone 2-2-0 with a 4.43 GAA and .862 SV% in four career starts vs. Washington.

Matt Murray
Schneider will start Wednesday in Toronto.

Schneider allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Devils’ win in Buffalo on Monday. Schneider has had a strong start to 2017-18, winning his first two starts while turning aside 63 of 66 shots (.955 SV%). He’ll have a difficult time extending his winning streak to three in Toronto—the Maple Leafs are playing great hockey to start the year.

Cory Schneider
Palmieri (lower-body) will return to the Devils’ lineup on Wednesday.

Palmieri missed Monday’s afternoon game with a lower-body injury that he suffered on Saturday, but will return to the lineup tonight in Toronto. The early emergence of Jesper Bratt is a threat to Palmieri and his minutes, but he will start back on the top-line this evening.
