Palmieri left Saturday’s game vs. Chicago early but was on the ice this morning and will play tonight vs. the Red Wings. Since returning to the Devils lineup three games ago, Palmieri has recorded one goal and two assists.

Khudobin stopped all 36 shots that he faced in the Bruins shutout win in Buffalo on December 19th. Tuukka Rask started five of the last six games but Khudobin will get the nod tonight in Washington. He allowed four goals on 21 shots in a 5-3 loss in his first start vs. the Capitals but has gone 5-1-1 with a 1.91 GAA and .943 SV% in eight road appearances this season.

Rask surrendered one goal on 31 shots in the Bruins win over the Red Wings last Saturday. Rask has won three in a row and is 7-0-1 with a 1.39 GAA and .950 SV% in December. Tonight he will face the Senators for the first time this season—he has gone 9-4-2 with a 2.12 GAA and .922 SV% in 15 starts at the TD Garden this year.

Letang has had injury issues throughout his career but has appeared in the first 37 games of 2017-18 prior to missing tonight’s game. With Letang out, Matt Hunwick will draw back into the lineup and play on the top pairing with Brian Dumoulin. Olli Maatta will slide in on the top power-play unit.
