The Ducks have recalled Dany Heatley from his Long-Term Injury Conditioning Loan with Norfolk (AHL).

Heatley played two games with Norfolk, he failed to record a point and had a minus-3 rating. Heatly was skating on as the fourth forward on the Ducks third line this morning, so there is no guarantee that he will be in the lineup on Tuesday.

Kinkaid will start vs. the Islanders.

Kinkaid stopped all three shots that he faced in relief of Cory Schneider on Saturday. In his only start since being recalled he stopped 37 of 39 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Blackhawks. He has yet to record a win, but has posted a nice 1.64 GAA and .943 SV% in four games. Tonight will be a big night for him as he gets the start on Long Island, very close to his hometown.

Keith Kinkaid
Green was on the Capitals top power-play in practice on Monday.

Green had been on the Capitals’ second unit in the two games that he has been back for. It looks like he and Matt Niskanen will swap places, which should open the door for more production from Green. He has 12 points (3G / 9A) in 21 games this season.

Mike Green
Boychuk (upper-body) is “close” but will not play on Monday.

Boychuk will miss his ninth consecutive game with an upper-body injury. He was on the ice for the Islanders morning skate on Monday, but won’t be back tonight. The Islanders next game is on Friday in Detroit, monitor Boychuk’s status leading up to Friday.

Johnny Boychuk
Hamonic (upper-body) is “close” but will not play on Monday.

Hamonic will miss his sixth consecutive game with an upper-body injury. He was on the ice for the Islanders morning skate on Monday, but won’t be back tonight. The Islanders next game is on Friday in Detroit, monitor Hamonic’s status leading up to Friday.

Travis Hamonic
Gorges (undisclosed) is expected to play on Monday.

Gorges left Saturday’s game early due to a undisclosed injury and did not return. Despite the injury, Gorges was on the ice Monday for the morning skate. Gorges said he doesn’t feel 100% but should be good enough to play; just needs to be cleared by the medical staff.

Josh Gorges
Enroth gets his 10th start in the last 11 games.

Enroth allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Sabres 4-3 OT win over the Panthers on Saturday. Enroth has won three straight and six of his last seven with a 2.23 GAA and .934 SV%. Tonight he will face a Senators team who have gone 2-5-1 in their last eight games.

Jhonas Enroth
Cizikas (upper-body) returns to the Islanders lineup on Monday.

Cizikas has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury that he suffered on December 6th vs. the Blues. He will be back in for Michael Grabner, who is day-to-day with a lower-body ailment. Cizikas will centre the fourth line with Matt Martin and Cal Clutterbuck.

Casey Cizikas
Grabner (lower-body) will not play on Monday.

Grabner is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury, so he will not play tonight. There is no word on when he suffered the injury, but he has played just five games since returning from offseason sports hernia surgery. Casey Cizikas will replace Grabner vs. the Devils.

Michael Grabner
Halak will be in goal vs. the Devils.

Halak stopped 23 of 25 shots in the Islanders 3-2 win over the Blackhawks on Saturday. It was a nice bounce-back performance for Halak, who had lost back-to-back while allowing a combined 11 goals. Tonight, he makes his second start vs. the Devils; he made 34 saves in a 3-1 win in their first matchup.

The Devils have recalled Tim Sestito from Albany (AHL).

Sestito, 30, is off to the best of his AHL career having recorded 13 points (6G / 7A) in 26 games this season. He could be in the lineup tonight for Mike Cammalleri who is out with a bone bruise. Sestito has six assists in 86 career NHL games.

Tim Sestito
Lecavalier (lower-body) was back at Flyers practice on Monday.

Lecavalier has not played in the last six games, but he was believed to be a “healthy scratch” for at least three of those games. His return to practice today is a sign that he is getting healthy, but there is no word when he will get back into the lineup.

Vincent Lecavalier
The Penguins have placed Zach Sill (upper-body) on injured reserve.

Sill suffered the upper-body injury in his first shift on Friday vs. the Flames. He missed Saturday’s game and will obviously miss tonight’s game after being placed on IR. He is eligible to return Saturday vs. the Panthers.
