Oettinger will start vs. the Islanders on Tuesday.

The red-hot Stars have won five straight and will turn to Oettinger on Tuesday against the New York Islanders. Oettinger has been inconsistent this season, but has strung together two solid performances (2-0-0), saving 47 of 50 combined shots (.940 SVV%). He has a 2.75 GAA and .900 SV% in 13 games this season (8-3-2). The Stars enter Tuesday's contest as -162 home favorites against an Islanders team that is 6-3-1 in their last 10 games.

Jake Oettinger
James (undisclosed) will return vs. New Jersey on Tuesday.

James was a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft and is making an impressive mark in his first NHL season. Through nine games, the 23-year-old has four points (1G / 3A), all recording during his current two-game point streak. Scott Sabourin will exit the lineup.

Dominic James
Binnington is in the starter's crease at St. Louis' morning skate.

The Blues' disappointing season continues on Tuesday when they turn to Binnington against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Binnington allowed five goals on 31 shots (.839 SV%) in a 6-5 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers in his most recent outing, par for the course for the 32-year-old netminder that is sporting an ugly 3.34 GAA and .869 SV% through 13 games (4-5-3). That said, Binnington was exceptional against the Maple Leafs season, posting a 1.50 GAA and .962 SV% in two games (2-0-0). The Blue enter the action as slight +105 road underdogs against a Maple Leafs team on a five-game losing skid (0-4-1).

Jordan Binnington
Lindholm (lower-body) will travel with Boston on their upcoming road trip.

Lindholm has not played since the end of October, but is drawing closer to a return, possibly on the Bruins' upcoming four-game road trip. The 30-year-old Lindholm has nine points (4G / 5A) in 13 games this season and should reclaim his spot on the team's top powerplay unit when he returns.

Elias Lindholm
Soderblom is in the starter's crease at Chicago's morning skate.

The Blackhawks have points in five straight (4-0-1) and will likely turn to Soderblom to tend the twine on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames. The 26-year-old netminder was sensational in his previous outing, saving a whopping 45 of 46 shots (.978 SV%) in a 5-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings. Soderblom has a 2.63 GAA and .913 SV% in five games this season (2-2-1). The Blackhawks enter the action on Tuesday as slight -104 home underdogs against a Flames team that has scored only seven goals in its last five games (1-3-1).

Arvid Soderblom
Matthews (lower-body) returned to practice on Tuesday.

Matthews has not played since suffering a lower-body injury from a Nikita Zadorov hit one week ago, but returned to practice on Tuesday, suggesting he is inching closer to a return. The 28-year-old Matthews has not been as dynamic as in previous seasons early in 2025-26, scoring 14 points (9G / 5A) through 17 games, but the Leafs have lost five straight and will be eager for their captain to return to the lineup.

Auston Matthews
Comrie is in the starter's crease at Winnipeg's morning skate.

The Jets have struggled to string wins together over the past few weeks, going 5-5-0 in their last 10, and will likely turn to Comrie on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Comrie has not played much this season and struggled in his most recent outing, allowing four goals on 21 shots (.810 SV%) in a 4-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks, his first loss of the season. The 30-year-old Comrie has a 2.75 GAA and .908 SV% in four games this season (3-1-0). The Jets enter Tuesday's contest as -181 home favorites against a Blue Jackets team that defeated the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 in a shootout last night.

Eric Comrie
Roy (upper-body) is out Tuesday and is expected to miss the next couple of games.

Roy showed no signs of an injury in Toronto's most recent game, playing a season-high 19:45 time-on-ice, but seemingly suffered an upper-body injury and likely will not play the next few games, starting with Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues. The 28-year-old bottom-six forward has four points (1G / 3A) and 19 games through his first season with the Maple Leafs.

Nicolas Roy
Del Gaizo has been reassigned to Laval (AHL).

With Kaiden Guhle (partially torn adductor muscle) out for 8-10 weeks, the Canadiens recalled Del Gaizo from Laval (AHL) for precautionary reasons, but he did not draw into the lineup. Del Gaizo played a career-high 46 games with the Nashville Predators last season, scoring nine points (2G / 7A), but was unable to crack Montreal's roster to start the season.

Marc Del Gaizo
Vasilevskiy is expected to start vs. New Jersey on Tuesday.

Despite having seven wins in their last 10 games (7-3-0), Tampa Bay has been outscored 14-6 in their last three games (1-2-0). Vasilevskiy returns to the crease on Tuesday, looking to build on a strong performance in his previous outing when he saved 22 of 23 shots (.957 SV%) in a 3-1 win over the Florida Panthers. The 31-year-old Vasilevskiy has battled inconsistencies this season, posting a 2.77 GAA and .897 SV% in 13 games (6-5-2). Tampa Bay enters Tuesday's contest as -172 home favorites against a Devils team on a two-game winning streak.

Andrei Vasilevskiy
Talbot is in the starter's crease at Detroit's morning skate.

The Red Wings are coming off a tight 2-1 win over the New York Rangers and will likely roll with Talbot between the pipes on Tuesday against the Seattle Kraken. Talbot was excellent in the win over the Rangers, albeit lightly tested, saving 18 of 19 shots (.947 SV%). The 38-year-old goalie has a 2.71 GAA and .896 SV% in 10 games this season (7-2-0). The Red Wings enter Tuesday's contest as -172 home favorites against a Kraken team riding a two-game winning streak.
