Things have been tough on Tarasov lately, going 2-6-1 with an ugly 4.03 GAA and .873 SV% in his last 10 starts. He draws a fine matchup on Saturday, but he's still a risky option given how banged up the team is in front of him.

Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 21 shots in the Lightning's loss in Montreal on Thursday. Vasilevskiy is the Vezina Trophy favourite and leads the NHL in wins (37) but has gone 3-3-1 with a 2.45 GAA and .897 SV% in his last seven outings. This afternoon he will face the Bruins for the third time this season, having gone 2-0-0 while stopping 50 of 56 shots (.893 SV%) in the first two meetings.

Shabanov returned from a lower-body injury and appeared in two games but will come back out of the lineup on Saturday due to an upper-body injury. Shabanov, who will be replaced by Kyle MacLean in the bottom-6, had one goal and one assist in those two games.

Pelletier appeared in two games during his call-up, failing to record a point and played just 7:06 in Montreal Thursday. He'll return to AHL, where he leads the league with 75 points (28G / 47A) in 61 games this season.

It was the first time Swayman allowed more than three goals in 10 games (last time was March 12th) and was his third consecutive loss. This afternoon he will face the Lightning for the third time this season--he is 0-1-1 with a 3.38 GAA and .897 SV% in the first two meetings.

Steeves played 10:13 TOI and was a minus-1 with one SOG on Tuesday, but will be replaced by Mikey Eyssimont in the lineup on Saturday. It will be the 12th time in 13 games that Steeves has been a healthy scratch.

Eyssimont was a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Alex Steeves in the lineup on Saturday. Eyssimont has scored eight goals with 10 assists (18 points) in 52 games this season.

In his only start vs. the Islanders this season, Ullmark gave up five goals on 23 shots in a 5-4 loss.

Woll has gone 1-4-3 with a 3.98 GAA and .888 SV% ins his last eight outings and has become a risky fantasy option with the Maple Leafs' season going down the drain. With that said, on Saturday, he'll face a Panthers team that has been completely decimated by injuries, making him a viable desperation start. Woll and the Maple Leafs are -133 home favourites.

Myers has appeared in four straight games, but he's expected to come out of the lineup on Saturday to make room for William Villeneuve to make his NHL debut. Myers has no goals and just two assists in 39 games this season.

Villeneuve was a fourth-round pick in 2020 and is expected to make his NHL debut after 224 career games in the AHL. Villeneuve, who has 29 points (3G / 26A) in 59 AHL games this season, will replace Philippe Myers on the third pair.

Hellebuyck allowed two goals on 22 shots in the Jets' win in St. Louis on Thursday. Hellebuyck is starting to heat up for the Jets, who are hoping it's not too little, too late. He's won three in a row while allowing just five goals on 62 shots (.919 SV%). Tonight he'll face the Flyers as -126 home favourites.

It was Thompson's third shutout of the season and fifth win in his last six starts--5-1-0 with a 3.31 GAA, .891 SV% and one shutout. Today he will look to win his 30th game of the season, but it will be a challenge against a Penguins team that is 5-1-0 while scoring 5.8 goals per game in their last six games.

With Jacob Markstrom out for the rest of the season and Nico Daws confirmed to start on Sunday, it will be Jake Allen in net for the Devils on Saturday. Allen has given up three-plus goals in five straight outings, going 3-1-1 with a 3.35 GAA and .885 SV%. Tonight he'll face a desperate Red Wings team, who he has not faced this season, but Allen is 7-9-0 with a 2.58 GAA and .911 SV% on the road.

Sorokin gave up three goals on 16 shots in the Islanders 5-3 win over the Maple Leafs on Thursday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for Sorokin, who has now given up three-plus goals in five straight games, posting a 4.59 GAA and .848 SV% in the process. With a pivotal back-to-back this weekend, new head coach Pete DeBoer hinted at Sorokin starting both games.


Wiebe signed his entry-level contract earlier Friday and was announced in the starting lineup vs. Seattle on Saturday by Head Coach Craig Conroy. The 22-year-old was key part of the North Dakota (NCAA) team that was eliminated from the Frozen Four on Thursday. He put up five goals and 29 points in 40 games with North Dakota this season.
