Marino (undisclosed) was not at practice Friday after leaving Wednesday's contest shaken up post-fighting major.

Marino received a fighting major and a game misconduct two seconds into Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the New York Rangers and did not return to the game after suffering an undisclosed injury and subsequent game misconduct. The 26-year-old Marino has 25 points (4G / 21A) and 83 blocks in 71 games this season and will travel with New Jersey to Ottawa on Saturday, but will decide on his availability in the morning.

Minnesota has signed Samuel Hlavaj to a two-year, entry-level contract starting in 2024-25.

Hlavaj is an undrafted 22-year-old Slovak Netminder that played the last several years in Europe after two seasons in the QMJHL. He had a 3.10 GAA and .902 SV% in 28 games (8-20-0) with Plzen HC (Czech) this season.

Samuel Hlavaj
Bourque has been recalled from Texas (AHL) on Friday.

Bourque was the 30th overall pick of the Dallas Stars in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old leads the AHL with 72 points (26G / 46A) in 66 games but has yet to play an NHL game. He could be reunited in Dallas with Logan Stankoven, his linemate in Texas for the first 47 games of the season.

Vejmelka will start on Friday vs. Vegas.

The Coyotes will continue their goalie rotation on Friday as Vejmelka will tend the twine against the Vegas Golden Knights. Before allowing six goals on 30 shots (.800 SV%) in an 8-5 loss to the New York Rangers in his last outing, Vejmelka was playing well, allowing three or fewer goals in seven straight games (5-2-0). The Coyotes enter action as +150 home underdogs.

Karel Vejmelka
Luukkonen was in the starter's crease at Buffalo's morning skate.

The Sabres will likely turn to Luukkonen for the third straight game on Friday against the Philadelphia Flyers. Luukkonen was solid in his last outing, snapping a two-game losing skid by saving 23 of 25 shots (.920 SV%) in a 6-2 victory over the Washington Capitals. The Sabres enter action as -122 home favourites.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
Thompson was the first goalie off the ice at Vegas' morning skate.

The Golden Knights will likely turn to Thompson on Friday as they search for their fourth straight victory. Thompson has been tremendous lately, allowing only one goal in six of his last seven appearances (6-0-0), posting a stellar .952 SV%. The Golden Knights enter action on Friday as sizeable -167 road favourites against the Arizona Coyotes.

Logan Thompson
Rittich will start in San Jose on Thursday.

After a 5-2 win over the Seattle Kraken last night, the Kings will switch to Rittich between the pipes on the tail-end of a back-to-back on Thursday. Rittich has been inconsistent in his last four games, alternating between allowing four goals and recording a shutout in each contest. The Kings enter action on Thursday as significant -290 road favourites against the San Jose Sharks.

David Rittich
Tarasov (upper-body) will not return to Thursday's game against the Islanders.

Tarasov suffered the injury in the first period of Thursday's game and was unable to return. We should expect to receive an update on his injury and a possible timeline for his return following the completion of Thursday's game. Backup netminder Jet Greaves will replace Tarasov for the remainder of the game.

Daniil Tarasov
Hellebuyck will start against the Flames on Thursday.

The Jets snapped a six-game losing skid on Monday with Laurent Brossoit in net in a 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings. Hellebuyck has mirrored the Jets' struggles lately, allowing three or more goals in four of his last five (0-4-1), including three on 27 shots (.889 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 3-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators. The Jets enter action on Thursday as -197 home favourites against the Calgary Flames.
