Johnson has been recalled from Rochester (AHL).

Johnson was the 31st overall pick of the Sabres in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old defenseman made his NHL debut last season, scoring seven points (0G / 7A) in 41 games. He has spent the entirety of the 2024-25 campaign with the Rochester Americans (AHL), scoring five points (0G / 5A) in 21 games. Johnson's call-up may indicate that Rasmus Dahlin (back spasms) could miss some time.

The Wild recalled Boyd from Iowa (AHL) on Wednesday.

Boyd has performed well with Iowa this season, scoring two goals and adding nine assists in 13 games. He'll look to make a stronger impression with Minnesota after going pointless in his only two NHL games this season.

Travis Boyd
Portillo has been loaned to Ontario (AHL).

With Darcy Kuemper (undisclosed) activated from Injured Reserve, Portillo has been sent down to Ontario (AHL). Portillo was the third-round pick, 67th overall, of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut last week, saving 28 of 29 shots (.966 SV%) in a 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks.

Tokarski has been recalled from Chicago (AHL).

Tokarski has been stellar with the Chicago Wolves (AHL) this season season, posting a 1.61 GAA and .933 SV% in five games (4-1-0). The 35-year-old NHL journeyman has played 80 career NHL games (23-34-12), posting a 3.15 GAA and .902 SV%. In a corresponding move, Spencer Martin was sent down to Chicago (AHL).
