A full list of every pick from the 2025 PWHL Expansion Draft
The rosters for the new teams on the block are starting to take shape.
On Monday night, the Professional Women’s Hockey League held the first-ever expansion draft, allowing the franchises of Vancouver and Seattle to pick several players in order to fill up their lineups for their inaugural seasons.
With both teams signing five players during their exclusive signing window over the past few days, Vancouver general manager Cara Gardner Morey and Seattle GM Meghan Turner were permitted to draft up to seven players in order to reach the maximum number of 12 athletes during the expansion process. The rest of the roster will be filled out via the PWHL Draft on June 24 and free agency.
Vancouver won the lottery to make the first overall pick. The draft format was revealed to be a snake format, where, after the first pick, teams were able to make two picks in a row.
