The Buffalo Sabres have made a handful of signings, confirming deals for forwards Brett Murray, Mason Jobst and Joshua Dunne as well as goaltender Felix Sandstrom.

The moves come on the same day that they signed Jack Rathborne, Sam Lafferty, Jason Zucker, Jacob Bryson, Dennis Gilbert and Nicolas Aube-Kubel to deals as the Sabres look to build out their depth.

Murray, 25, was drafted 99th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2016. The native of Bolton, Ontario has spent the past five years playing pro in the Sabres’ system, which included a two-game stint with the big club last year. He has six points in 23 games over three years and another 157 points in 259 games with the Rochester Americans.

Jobst, 30, returns to the Sabres’ organization for the fourth consecutive season. He had a breakout year with 22 goals and 50 points in 2023-24, a nice step up from his 38 points the year before. Jobst is expected to be one of Rochester’s top players in 2024-25.

Dunne also has NHL experience, having played in 14 games over his four-year pro career. Injuries limited him to just seven points in 25 games with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters this year, a disappointment given his career-best 20 goals and 37 points in 2022-23. The former Clarkson University captain is expected to play for the Americans in 2024-25.

Sandstrom, meanwhile, gives the Sabres some solid goaltending depth. If Devon Levi returns to the AHL, Sandstrom, 27, could emerge as Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen’s backup thanks to his 30 games of NHL experience with the Philadelphia Flyers. He has struggled to produce wins, though, going 4-18-4 over four seasons.
