Dylan Guenther Over 2.5 Shots on Goal: -139 Sports Interaction

After a searing hot start to the year, Guenther has just one point and seven shots on goal over his last four games. It’s been more than simply Guenther struggling to create offense for the Utah Hockey Club, as the team has put up just six goals in those four games, averaging 26 shots on target amid a tough stretch schedule wise.

A matchup at home versus the Sharks provides an excellent opportunity to get right for Utah, and a good chance to buy back in on Guenther in the prop markets.

The Sharks are allowing 34.53 shots against per game this season and 4.04 xGA/60.

Guenther leads Utah with 10.07 shots on goal per 60, and also ranks first with 22.65 shot attempts per hour. His elite shooting ability is well credited by his teammates, and he is playing with some quality playmakers to help generate opportunities.

Guenther skated on the second line alongside Logan Cooley and Josh Doan on Saturday versus the Kings, and it seems likely that line will stay together in this matchup. Cooley has great vision and should continue to take steps forward, and that trio will get some highly favorable matchups tonight.

Losing Sean Durzi hurts a lot to be sure, but Utah still should hold a better than average power-play unit this season, and Guenther’s one-timer from the left circle is always going to be the top unit’s preferred look.

Connor Bedard Anytime Goalscorer: +220 Sports Interaction

Bedard came through for us on Friday versus the Predators, before tallying a beauty the next night in Dallas. I’m happy to go back to the well once again tonight given that the number is still roughly the same as it was on Friday, as one of the NHL’s purest goalscorers seems to be heating up.

In the two matchups since I outlined this prop Frida,y Bedard has 13 shot attempts and seven on net. He continues to fare well playing alongside Teuvo Teravaninen and Nick Foligno at even strength, a trio that holds a 57.1% expected goal share this season.

The Avs’ are heavy favorites in this game, but certainly not because they are defensive juggernauts. Colorado has allowed 4.00 goals against per game to start this season, which is the fourth-highest mark in the NHL.

Justus Annunen has been significantly more effective than Alexandar Georgiev this season, but Georgiev should get this start as Annunen played last night versus the Senators. Georgiev has an ugly .811 save percentage and has allowed 4.99 goals against per game.
