NHL Trophy Winner Announcements Begin Tuesday, May 14

The National Hockey League (NHL) has announced the dates for trophy winner announcements.
Starting on May 14, the NHL will announce the winner of the Mark Messier Leadership Award. The award is awarded “To the player who exemplifies great leadership qualities to his team, on and off the ice, during the regular season and who plays a leading role in his community growing the game of hockey.”
Wednesday, May 15 will be the Bill Masterton Trophy winner announcement. The trophy is awarded, “To the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.” The finalists are Frederik Andersen, Connor Ingram and Oliver Kylington.
Saturday, May 18 is the Frank J. Selke Trophy. It is awarded, “To the forward who best excels in the defensive aspects of the game.” The finalists are Aleksander Barkov, Auston Matthews and Jordan Staal.
Wednesday, May 22 is the Jack Adams Award. Awarded, “To the coach adjudged to have contributed the most to his team’s success.” The finalists are Rick Bowness, Andrew Brunette, and Rick Tocchet
Tuesday, May 28 is the King Clancy Memorial Trophy. It is awarded, “To the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.”
Thursday, May 30 is the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy. It is awarded “To the player adjudged to have exhibited the best type of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct combined with a high standard of playing ability.” The finalists are Auston Matthews, Elias Pettersson and Jaccob Slavin.
Thursday, June 27 is the Calder Memorial Trophy. Awarded, “To the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition.” The finalists are: Connor Bedard, Brock Faber, and Luke Hughes.
Thursday, June 27 is the Hart Memorial Trophy. Awarded, “To the player adjudged to be the most valuable to his team.” The finalists are Nikita Kucherov, Nathan MacKinnon, and Connor McDavid.
Thursday, June 27 is the James Norris Memorial Trophy. Awarded, “To the defense player who demonstrates throughout the season the greatest all-round ability in the position.” The finalists are: Quinn Hughes, Roman Josi, and Cale Makar.
Thursday, June 27 is the Ted Lindsay Award. Awarded, “To the most outstanding player as voted by fellow members of the NHLPA.” The finalists are Nikita Kucherov, Nathan MacKinnon, and Auston Matthews.
Thursday, June 27 is the Vezina Trophy. Awarded, “To the goaltender adjudged to be the best at his position.” The finalists are Sergei Bobrovsky, Thatcher Demko, and Connor Hellebuyck.
Friday, June 28 is the Willie O’Ree Community Hero Award. Awarded “To an individual who – through the game of hockey – has positively impacted his or her community, culture or society.” The finalists are Jerry DeVaul, Kelsey McGuire and Estela Rivas-Bryant.
Friday, June 28 is the E.J. McGuire Award of Excellence. Awarded, “To the NHL Draft prospect who best exemplifies commitment to excellence through strength of character, competitiveness and athleticism.”
