What’s next for the Carolina Hurricanes and Martin Necas
Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas has had his name in trade talks for the latter half of the year and some speculate he could be moved at the upcoming NHL Draft.
Necas notched 24 goals and 29 assists for 53 points in 77 games during the 2023-24 regular season. He added nine points in 11 Stanley Cup Playoff contests.
Today on Daily Faceoff Live, Frank Seravalli highlights which teams he is keeping an eye on in regards to a Necas trade.
Tyler Yaremchuk: I want to ask you, today on the DFO Rundown you made a comment that maybe Carolina being a little bit motivated to move him sooner rather than later?
Frank Servalli: Yeah I don’t know if motivated is the right word, but I would say I wouldn’t be shocked to see him even moved by Saturday. I think you will see a flurry of activity ahead of the Stanley Cup Final beings. There has been so many teams that are excited to get Necas, I don’t envision a path for him to come back to Carolina. I think Vancouver, Calgary, Columbus are at least three of the teams I am paying attention to when it comes to the Necas-front, he has been a very, very hot commodtity.
