There have been rumours circulating about Martin Necas being on his way out of Raleigh and with the NHL Draft in full swing this weekend, could we see him on the move?

Necas notched 24 goals and 29 assists for 53 points in 77 games during the 2023-24 regular season. The Czechia product added four goals and five assists for nine points in 11 Stanley Cup Playoff contests. His game is built on speed and offensive awareness and Necas loves to shoot the puck, finishing last season leading the Hurricanes with 231 shots on goal.

Necas made $3 million annually on his last deal and will be looking for a significant raise on his next contract.

Today on Daily Faceoff Live, Frank Seravalli discusses the future of the Hurricanes forward and where he might end up for the 2024-25 regular season.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Who will get Martin Necas and what is the percentage we see him dealt before the first round is over tonight?

Frank Seravalli: Ooh. I think the Canes are back at square one, they were closing in on a deal that didn’t get completed and now it’s a “What happens next” scenario. I was hopeful or it was trending in a direction he would be traded before round one or during round one, but now I’m not so sure.
