Iafallo had 14 goals, 22 assists, 133 SOG, 20 PIMs and a +14 plus/minus through 59 games with Los Angeles in 2022-23 and has been traded alongside Rasmus Kupari, Gabe Vilardi, and a 2nd Rd Pick to Winnipeg for Pierre-Luc Dubois. Alex Iafallo News
Iafallo hasn't played since October 17th due to a lower-body injury but was enjoying an incredibly successful early start to the season after picking up a point in all four games played with five points (2G/3A) and six SOG. He will play on a line with Gabe Vilardi and Adrian Kempe.
Iafallo suffered a lower-body injury in Monday's overtime win in Detroit. Moving him to IR means that he will miss at least seven days (three games). The Kings have not provided a timetable on how long he's expected to be sidelined. Look for Arthur Kaliyev to replace him in the lineup on Tuesday.
It's unclear what is ailing Iafallo, but he will miss the second half of the Kings' back-to-back. Arthur Kaliyev, who was a healthy scratch last night, is expected to replace Iafallo.
Both Iafallo and Alex Turcotte re-joined practice on Sunday but Turcotte was the only one who was officially activated from the COVID-19 protocol list. Iafallo was back on the top line with Anze Kopitar during the session, a good sign that he'll be available Monday. Expect him to be officially activated later today and play vs. the Rangers.
On the same day that the Kings got Dustin Brown out of COVID-19 protocol, they lost Iafallo. In Wednesday's practice, Martin Frk skated on the Kings' top line in Iafallo's absence. Iaffalo will likely miss one or two games.
Iafallo was either going to get traded or re-signed today and the Kings elected to keep the 27-year-old winger. Iafallo has 11 goals and 14 assists (25 points) in 39 games this season, giving him 101 points (43G / 58A) in his last 191 games.
Iafallo missed the final four games of the regular season with an upper-body injury, but was back in a familiar spot in Monday’s practice. Iafallo, who tallied 25 points (9G / 16A) in 75 games this season, skated on the top-line with Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown. Iafallo seemed confident that he will play Game 1, but head coach John Stevens was not as sure.
