Chmelevski has spent most of the year in the AHL but has appeared in the first two games of his NHL career earlier in the season. The 21-year-old, who will most likely suit up on the fourth line, has nine goals and 11 assists (20 points) in 27 AHL games.
Chmelevski played just 6:08 TOI in the Sharks' loss to the Blues on Saturday. He'll be replaced by Marcus Sorensen on Monday.
It will be Chmelevski's first game since February 5th, as he draws into the lineup to replace Tomas Hertl (COVID-19). Chmelevski has just one career NHL game under his belt but the former sixth-round pick had one assist in 6:11 TOI in that game.
