Holtz had three goals, an assist, 21 SOG, eight PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 19 games with New Jersey but has been reassigned to Utica (AHL) on Friday. The 21-year-old returns to the Comets, where he had two goals and four points across three games earlier in the season.
Holtz last played for the Devils on January 7th and has three goals, one assist, 20 SOG and eight PIMs through 18 games on the season. The 21-year-old will draw back into the Devils' lineup as a replacement for Jack Hughes, who is considered week-to week with an injury.
Holtz did not play in the Devils' previous game vs. Boston but will draw back into the lineup Friday against Pittsburgh. The 2020 1st round pick (7th overall) has two goals, 16 SOG and eight PIMs through 14 games with New Jersey so far this year.
Holtz has two goals, eight PIMs and 16 SOG through 14 games all while getting limited ice while averaging only 10:16 TOI but will be a healthy scratch Wednesday. He is replaced by Tyce Thompson in the Devils' lineup.

With some of the Devils forward out with an illness, Holtz will suit up for his eighth career NHL game on Thursday. The 20-year-old, who has 26 goals with 25 assists (51 points) in 52 AHL games this season, will skate on a line with Jesper Bratt and Jesper Boqvist.
