Volkov was traded to the Ducks last March, finishing the 2021 season with seven goals and six assists (13 points) in 37 games between Tampa Bay and Anaheim. The 23-year-old is poised for a middle-6 spot with the Ducks to start 2021-22.
Volkov was a second round pick of the Lightning in 2017 and won a Stanley Cup with them last year. He had three goals and two assists in 19 games with Tampa Bay this season before being streamed to the Ducks on March 24th. Volkov will make his Ducks debut on a line with Isac Lundestrom and Maxime Comtois.
Volkov sat ass a healthy scratch for the last three games but will replace Cal Foot on Monday. With Volkov back in, the Lightning will go back to the traditional 12 forwards, six defensemen look. He has one assist in four games so far this season.
Volkov appeared in the last four games with Tampa Bay but has been sent back to the AHL with Patrick Maroon set to return to the lineup on Friday. Volkov has 15 points (2G / 13A) in 25 AHL games this season.
With Ondrej Palat listed as day-to-day, Volvo comes up and could draw into the lineup on Saturday. Volkov has no points in four NHL games this year while picking up 15 points (2G / 13A) in 25 AHL games.
Volkov played in four games, including both games in Sweden, but failed to record a point with three shots while playing 11:56 ATOI. The 22-year-old winger returns to the Crunch where he has three assists in three games.
Volkov has registered three assists in three games at the AHL level this season and will make his debut in New Jersey because Patrick Maroon is out with an upper-body injury.
