Wennberg was a healthy scratch on Saturday but will replace Emil Bemstrom in the lineup on Monday. Bemstrom did not travel to Washington due to an injury, so expect Wennberg to skate with Cam Atkinson and Alexandre Texier.

Wennberg has appeared in four games in the second round but has averaged just 10:30 TOI and is expected to be replaced by Markus Hannikainen (undisclosed) on the fourth line in Game 6.
Wennberg has missed the last eight games with a back injury but will be back in the lineup tonight in Buffalo. Wennberg will assume a familiar role tonight as he starts at centre with Boone Jenner and Nick Foligno on his wings. After a breakout 2016-17 season, Wennberg has struggled this season and comes into tonight with just four goals and 12 assists (16 points) in 30 games. He will look to have a better second half, starting tonight.
Wennberg has missed the last eight games with a back injury and returned to practice this afternoon after skating on his own on Saturday. Wennberg is two weeks into a 4-6 week timetable, so it looks like he could be ahead of schedule.
Wennberg suffered the injury last Thursday in Pittsburgh and after being scratched from Saturday’s game vs. the Flyers, the Blue Jackets announced that he is expected to miss at least one month. Wennberg was placed on IR and Lukas Sedlak will likely move up to the third line while Wennberg is out.
Wennberg has reportedly been dealing with some kind of injury recently so he may not be in the lineup in Montreal on Tuesday. If Wennberg doesn’t play, Sonny Milano will draw back into the lineup and their lines will likely be shuffled.
Wennberg missed Sunday’s game in New Jersey with a lower-body injury, but he is expected to play tonight according to head coach John Tortorella. Wennberg has enjoyed a strong season, potting seven goals with 25 assists (32 points) in 59 games.
