Bodnarchuk, who was claimed off of waivers from Columbus on Tuesday, will make his Avalanche debut tonight. He won’t just make his Avalanche debut, but he will replace Erik Johnson on the top pair with Francois Beauchemin.

Bodnarchuk appeared in 16 games with the Blue Jackets when their blueline was battling injury issues, but he has been a healthy scratch in the last three games and with David Savard back, Bodnarchuk finds himself on waivers for purpose of assignment.
Bodnarchuk gets sent back to the AHL now that the Bruins acquired depth. He has yet to play this season in the NHL.
Bodnarchuk practiced on the third pairing and should play there. It will be his season debut.
Bodnarchuk returns to the NHL level where he will serve as a seventh defender. He has no fantasy hockey value.
Both players will stay fresh in the AHL and play today. They should be recalled shortly after.
Bodnarchuk gives the Bruins a seventh d-man. He scored four goals and 11 points in 47 games with the Providence Bruins.
Bodnarchuk played in five NHL games last season due to an injury to Dennis Seidenberg. He most likely starts the season in the AHL with the chance to get called up should the B's blue line have any injuries.
