Roussel has missed the last two games and six of the last seven, but will play Friday in New Jersey. There’s no word who Roussel will replace, but he gets back into the lineup with three goals and six assists (nine points) in 26 games this season.
After returning to the lineup following a four-game absence, Roussel played just 12:27 in Saturday’s game and is questionable for Monday’s game with an elbow injury. Jason Dickinson has been recalled and will play against the Rangers.
Roussel is day-to-day with an illness so he won’t play tonight vs. the Blackhawks and is questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Kings. With Roussel out, Curtis McKenzie has been recalled from Texas (AHL) and will play tonight.
Roussel left Thursday’s game after blocking a Johnny Boychuk shot and did not return. Stars’ head coach Lindy Ruff said that “it’s not good news” and added that “in all likelihood, the rest of the season.” It looks like Roussel’s season will end with 12 goals and 15 assists (27 points) in 60 games.
Roussel has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury and will be a game-time decision on Wednesday. He was a full participant in Monday’s practice, but didn’t take part in the morning skate. He was likely receiving treatment this morning and remains a game-time decision despite skipping the skate.

Roussel has been suspended for the next two games after he cross-checked McQuaid in the face on Tuesday. He will miss Friday’s game vs. Florida and Saturday’s game in Colorado. He is eligible to return next Tuesday in St. Louis.
Roussel, 24, had 14 goals and 15 assists while averaging 13:20 TOI in 81 games for the Stars last season. Roussel is an interesting fantasy asset because he has skill but an in your face attitude which helped him compile 209 penalty minutes last year. He is worth a late-round flier (in PIMS leagues) because of his 20-goal, 200 PIMS potential.
Roussel was a healthy scratch last night, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Rangers. Roussel has become on of the NHL's premiere "pests" and is a serviceable asset in leagues that include PIMs. He currently leads all players with a 109 PIMs and his 15 points (8G / 7A) is tops among players in the top-10 in PIMs.
Roussel was just sent down last week but has now been recalled again. He isn't fantasy relevant.
