It's unclear how Roussel suffered the injury but will be out at least mid-April with a lower-body injury. Hudson Fasching was recalled from the AHL on Monday and one of Fasching, Riley Nash or Liam O'Brien will replace Roussel in the lineup in Detroit.

Roussel played 10:01 TOI in the first game of the season but was a healthy scratch in Buffalo on Saturday. Roussel will replace Liam O'Brien in the lineup vs. the Blues.
Roussel has one year left at $3.0M AAV and was one of three bad contracts moved to Arizona in this deal, however, they all only have one year left. Roussel had just four points (1G / 3A) in 35 games last year and will almost certainly play a minimal role for the Coyotes in 2021-22.
Roussel was banged up midway through Tuesday's win over the Maple Leafs and head coach Travis Green expects him to miss at least a couple of weeks. With Roussel out, Marc Michaelis will draw back in on Thursday.
Roussel missed the first 28 games of the season but is set to play Tuesday vs. the Senators. Roussel, who had one assist in two games with Utica (AHL) during his conditioning stint, will skate on the Canucks' third line with Adam Gaudette and Nikolay Goldobin.
