Comeau played in six straight games after making his season debut on October 27th but was waived in order to open up a roster spot for Riley Tufte to be recalled from the AHL. The 35-year-old returns to the AHL for the first time since 2009.
Comeau injured his elbow during training camp and it got infected. He had to go to the ER to have a procedure but is ready to join the Stars lineup on Wednesday. Comeau will skate on the fourth line with Radek Faksa and Michael Raffl.

The Stars are hopeful that at least two of Comeau, Jamie Benn and/or Roope Hintz can play tonight, so there's a chance that Comeau makes his season debut tonight.

Comeau’s wife is in labour so he will come out of the lineup vs. the Oilers. Brett Ritchie will replace Comeau on the Stars’ fourth line.
Comeau is a big winger (6-foot-1, 202 lbs.) who is a strong penalty-killer that can chip in offensively. Comeau spent the last three seasons with the Avalanche, where he averaged 11 goals and 19 assists (30 points) per season.
